My wife has had problems with thin hair for a long time. She has very thin hair and you can see the scalp in some areas. Her hair looked healthy, but she was loosing hair in the shower daily..not just your normal loss. She has tried expensive hair applications with no luck. Her hair was so thin that the extra hair would just slowly come out. After extensive research I found this product. It was very expensive in the salons the I found, so I looked all over the internet and found the best price at my trusted Amazon.com! Since she started using this she has thicker healthier hair. It has also filled in and grown a few inches..its outstanding and I will be making another purchase! I'm glad she finally found something. This product has helped her confidence 10 fold. Now she loves to flick her hair on a regular basis...and I love it too!

I have used this stuff for a while now. If you have thinning hair I definatly recommend it. After a month or two you really begin to notice new hair growing all over, not just on your crown... And if you buy the large bottles on Amazon its cheaper than Rogain too!

I have used this product over several years and have found for my fine thinning hair it really helps to fluff it up and make it appear to be more hair. Though I have used only the cleanser when I ran out of the scalp therapy with some success, I did not feel it was as good as when using them together.

I've been using Nioxin - stage 2 for about 8 months now. I bought it more or less as an impulse purchase at my local Great Clips because the stylist recommended it and it was on a pretty substantial sale.

Once I used it, I noticed a difference almost immediately...NOT in the sense of "regrowing" hair or even stopping the loss of hair, but in terms of how clean my hair seemed to feel. Once I had this experience, I started to scour the internet to find out what others were saying. What I found out is more or less consistent with my experience with these products.

First, the Nioxin folks NEVER make the claim this product will "regrow" hair. There is a misconception about this because the products were developed to assist those going through chemotherapy in terms of "thickening the appearance" of their thinning hair due to the treatments.

That being said, this product has - in my experience - given the illusion and feel of thicker - and "more" - hair. I'm guessing for most people, the "illusion" is what is important - so this product should work for them. If - on the other hand - you are looking for a medicinal solution to pattern hair loss, my recommendation would be to look elsewhere. I really don't think that is what this product claims or hopes to be. But if you're looking for a REALLY good shampoo and conditioner that "likely" will give the illusion and feeling of having a more robust head of hair, I would urge you to consider trying this.

To summarize...my conclusion is simple: I was using grocery store shampoo before I switched to Nioxin. I will STAY on Nioxin because if I buy it right, I can make a liter-size bottle of this last almost six months and it becomes very price-competitive. Go through the math - this is very high quality hair care for about the same - or less - than you'd pay for Suave at your local Publix grocery store. But use the regular stuff one day and Nioxin the next. It won't take you long to determine the difference - if you feel your hair is thicker and more vibrant, to me - that's just a great bonus.

My daughter is currently using the Nioxin system 2 products & there is definitely new hair growth !! She is as well using the Nioxin system 2 scalp treatment post every time she washes her hair ! She has been using these 3 products for 3 weeks with evident new hair growth so we are pleased & intend to continue the treatment !!

I am male user and have been using Nioxin since 2005 every other days or every three days. I wasn't really balding or have thinning hair when I was 26, but read it has natural bio-nutrient and was more expensive than other brands. So I bought the shampoo and conditioner package at SuperCut. It wasn't called System 2 back then, but had the DHT claim.

Once I hit the age of 31, my hair started getting thinner, and I can see more gaps between the hairline. I have a hard time spiking my hair up now, since I can see the early stage of balding. While at all these years I still using Nioxin, in-between with Head & Shoulder for dandruff. I don't think Nioxin can do anything for male balding pattern if you have severe balding in your genes. It might work for women who are losing their hair because they used too much hairspray that over time build up and stop their hair from growing. Which these build up can be cleanse away, but not if you got DHT acting. Overall, I do think it cleans my head very well and I really have no built-up.

I am ordering my second set of shampoo and conditioner as a preventive measure, but believe once the balding gene kicks in, Nioxin can't do a thing. The two bottles of shampoo and conditioner do last a while. I have use other hair product like Garnier Fructis Haircare Weightless Leave-In Anti-Frizz Serum, Sleek & Shine 5.1 fl oz (150 ml) to get thicker hair, but it doesn't really work either. The gene is too powerful. 3.5 stars.

After lot of research I found that the product is very useful for hair growth and ordered it from COSTSELL seller. I strongly recommend the product as I have seen the results, when my friends used it and I saw really change in their hair. So you can give a shot. But be careful from ordering the product from this seller. If the package is damaged or if you want to return the product you have to pay shipping fee + re-shelving fee (some hidden charges) etc. and they are not responsible for anything once the item is out of their hands (even its damaged). For selecting the type of cleanser and conditional you want, you can logon to Nioxin site, you can select the options suitable to your hair, this will give you the right System of product. Buying from Amazon is cheaper than buying it from the Nioxin site, Again, Buy it but not from this seller...

Really outstanding shampoo for the price that I paid. If you are starting to show signs of thinning hair, you should consider this, as it has helped me maintain hair that began thinning out some time ago.

These two items represent the first two steps in the Nioxin Hair Care system. About 10 years ago my barber told me that I was thinning badly and recommended Nioxin Hair Care Products. I was hesitant, especially because of the price. But you know what? I worked. I still have my hair and it is thicker than it was then and what you get lasts a long time. If you are thinning it is worth the money.

I am using Nioxin for over 5 years now and love the way it works. I only use Cleanser and Scalp therapy. These give my hair thicker look.
