Nipple clamps are part of the BDSM scene and are definitely NOT for everyone. These clamps are of the "tweezer" clamp variety, so called because that is precisely what they look like, tweezers. They have a delicate appearance, which makes them somewhat more attractive than many of the other types. The tips are coated with some sort of rubber, which provides a certain measure of comfort. Each "tweezer" has a tiny ring at the closed end that slides towards the end that encloses the nipple to increase the pressure, or slides away to decrease the pressure. The chain that connects the clamps is both decorative and functional, allowing either party to play with the nipples during the encounter.

A word of warning, part of the pain or sensitivity that nipple clamps cause comes from the restricting of blood flow to the nipples, so they should not be left on too long. Also, when they are removed, the pain can be worse than when they were applied, so be ready.

But, that said, used correctly these clamps can be an exciting and attractive part of your bedroom jewelry ensemble, adding increased depth to your sexual play. "Tweezers" tend to provide less pressure than other types of clamps, and are great for those just beginning with nipple clamps.

I bought this item from an Adam and Eve store for $5 more, actually, but I was so impressed that I had to write about them here. These clips are great. Like the other poster said, you slide the ring up and down on the clamp to determine pressure. While I'm mildly into S&M, I couldn't believe how much these didn't hurt! Furthermore, I consider myself to have rather small nipples, and these clamps fit them perfectly. I love having the option to determine how much pressure I want. A+++ from me!

These were the first nipple clamps I'd purchased, and was a little hesitant, but they work wonderful and are actually not nearly as painful as I was expecting! I like the slide device versus an actual clamp as I've seen elsewhere because it allows you to control exactly how much pressure you want. Very pleased!
