My brother bought me some of this incense 8 or 9 years ago. As soon as the smoke began to waft through my home I was transported back to my childhod, when we used to burn cedar wood in a woodstove to warm our cabin.

Japanese incense is not heavy or cloying the way Indian incense is. It is more simple and focused on natural scents. I much prefer my home to smell like a simple cabin in the mountains than filled with perfume.

If you enjoy the flowery perfume of patchouli of nog champa, this is not for you, but if you like a more natural ambiance to your home, I'd strongly suggest these joss sticks.

Morning Star is not too HEAVY like some other incense sticks it burns slowly and produces just the right amount of "essence"

Of all of the scents this is my favorite. It is consistent from stick to stick and box to box. I love having the smell throughout my house.

This is a wonderful incense that I came across several years ago. Unlike most of the incense out there, it has no sickeningly sweet odor. The scent is light and refreshing, never overpowering. It reminds one of the forest and mountains. I love it.

This product I don't think has it but if you buy the smaller packages of incense, they come with a small, but attractive square ceramic incense burner that you can place in a dish or shell, etc. to catch the ashes.

Morning Star incense has a beautiful, refreshing scent. I have been using Cedarwood and Sandalwood for years and their scents are natural and pleasant - never overpowering or artificial. Nippon Kodo makes a great product that I unconditionally recommend.

Started using this product over ten years ago. At first I thought it was a bit strong, especially when still in the box. But as time went on, I greatly enjoyed the wood-burning scent. Much prefer this type of incense to floral fragrances, which are too sweet and overpowering for me. This cedarwood incense is lovely to relax with, burns at a nice pace, and a box of 200 lasts quite awhile. Definitely recommend.

When I first received these incense sticks, I was disappointed and left a pretty bad review. After a few months, I found a new appreciation for it. I do like them a lot more now and have even bought some from a store (for a cheaper price,) but it is still good compared to other incense sticks.

The Cedarwood incense sticks have a pleasant scent, but nothing like cedarwood. They actually smell very much like the Cinnamon incense sticks (which don't smell like cinnamon!). Because the sticks are very short and thin, and the scent is so generic, I won't buy this brand again.
