Nippon Kodo is a japanese company that has its own philosophy in regards to incense. For the price this holder is hard to beat. The holder keeps ashes where they belong while being pleasing in its simplicity. The small stick holder is removable.

Nice incense holder. It looks beautiful and does a job. Overall, I find all the incense holders having a larger hole that I would like it to be for the incense that I use, but other than that, this is a very beautiful one. Easy to clean.

I got this in green, and I'm very pleased with the color and design. It contains all of the incense ash, is easy to clean, and is pleasing to the eye. It is designed for Japanese incense--not the Indian sticks another reviewer spoke of.

This little bowl is great. Not only does it look nice and will fit in with any decor, but it's the perfect size for burning stick incense. Ashes go only in the bowl, not all around it. It's easy to clean and beautiful to look at. I've been burning stick incense for years, it's great to finally have something nice to burn it in.

The color and texture of everything are all beautiful but, like other reviewers have said, it's small and requires shorter incense. You can either break longer sticks or just get the Japanese style Nippon Kodo brand incense, which is already shorter.

I have other burners, but this one is by far my favorite- from form to color to functionality, it's perfect.

The picture is misleading. This incense burner is tiny. Meant for cones, if any incense.

In the picture the stick is incerted into a hole. That hole isnt even attached to the bowl. Doesnt work. It confused me. I dont even get how they got it to stick up in the picture...

This product did not work. The incense burner would not hold incense as shown in the picture. I would not recommend buying this product.

IT ONLY FITS THE VERY SMALL STICKS THAT ARE WOODLESS. THE ONES WITH WOOD ARE TO HEAVEY AND FALL OVER. SO IT ISN'T AN ALL PURPOSE

Just got this incense burner today and tried many ways to try and get the incense stick to stand up in the holder. Wasted our money with this item.Now we will start over and try to find a burner that really works.Do not waste your money folks.
