I just purchased and installed one of these on my wife's new beach cruiser. This is a very nice basket that mounts very well. The white color will allow prettying it up with plastic flowers or such while being a more useful basket than a plastic one.

The leg ends have two sets of holes one for using smaller screw on the mounting lugs on most bike's forks and another larger set for mounting the legs onto the front wheel axle ends, either can be used, brilliant. The upper end attaches to the stem rather than the handle bars, making for a solid mount, while leaving room for other accessories on the bars. Installed, the whole rig seems sturdy and quite useful.

One note: the bracket that fits over the stem is oversized for the common 1" stem/head tube so care should be taken to insure that the little locking tab on the inner diameter stays engaged with the grove on the head tube while tightening the lock nut up, this will help insure a solid assembly. Another note for those that may get confused by other reviews: the "stem" refers to the part that the handle bars attach to and slides in to the head tube. This is what this basket is meant to attach to (the head tube). Another review seems to have confused the "stem" with the "seat post" (which is what the seat attaches to and slides into the seat tube). See [...] if needed for common bicycle nomenclature.

This basket was easy to install, is attractive and holds LOTS of stuff...I keep my helmet and lock in it with room to spare, also holds large purse, books, towels, etc. etc. Great price too!

Loving the basket. It came with everything in the description and I had it from box to bike in 10 minutes! Love being able to ride my bike and carry things. Already probably saved me enough in gas money to pay for itself.

The item is as described, it does not fit all bikes as specified however...My biggest complaint, it didnt come with any matching nuts and bolts...Not a terrible thing, I have plenty lying around and I had to make mods for the springer front end that I have anyway, but it could have been a complicated install for someone who just wanted to put it on and go!!

I purchased this basket after getting my beach cruiser. Glad I did. The installatiion took a bit longer than I expected. I'm not that great at assembling things. I'm loving my basket which carries all kinds of things depending on where I'm going.

It is a little lighter than a regular milk crate, and works well for me as a basket attached to the rear rack. I have not used at the front and can not comment. Could have been a little lighter, but it is strong.

The basket looks nice, but does not attach well to the bike. It was not at all sturdy. In addition, the arms provided to attach it to the front wheel were not long enough to fit my bike.

I'm very happy with my basket. It was exactly what I was expecting & no missing parts. Very simple assembly. Also I was very pleased at the shipping time. I ordered it at 3pm with the free amazon delivery & recieved it by 3pm the next day. I was shocked! Smooth order & delivery.

This is a very well built product. The instructions were pictorial only and if I had not been familiar with how a bicycle front fork and handlebar attaches, the top mounting bracket could be a bit disconcerting to assemble. (That is the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating)
It worked very well for my application, but I had to add clamps for the front forks because of my bicycle design. I have a semi-recumbant with a stretched fork and the bracket is too short to reach the axel or fender mounting holes on the fork. I purchased some vinyl coated tubing hanger clamps (from Amazon.com stores) and clamped them to the fork tubes about 3 inches up from the axel, and this works well. If anyone is interested in pictures of the mounting, please leave a comment.
My wife and I have a 10 pound Yorkie and this basket with a pad in the bottom, makes a fine "perch" for him to take rides with us.
