Better than most but not the best, August 22, 2009
This review is from: Nirve Pyro Men's 3-Speed Cruiser Bike (Sports)
This is a good all around bike. It is a typical cruiser with some good mods. Shock in front, wider tires and nexus 3 speed, plus the black and red with minimal (flame) graphics will suit male or female and not look silly or wild.
It is not as comfortable as the semi-stretched with fatty tires (Ghostrider).
It is not as versatile as the townie (more gears and flatfoot).
It is in the same class as the Electra Ratrod (I like this better, the ratrod has too many curves in the frame)
Only real negative is the bars to not turn more than 90 degrees because of the shock forks.
All in all, this bike is a perfect all around cruiser that does many things well but not excel in any one area, of course the ones that excel over this in the areas listed, will be sub par compared to it in other areas. I picked it up used for $200 and had a tune-up done (chain tightened, wheels trued, brake adjusted) for $30. So you know you can find good bargains like that used.

Better than I feared!, April 10, 2009
This review is from: Nirve Pyro Men's 3-Speed Cruiser Bike (Sports)
Hi,
I was not sure about the nirve company in general.
Not many reviews on the web, and not much info except same links back to sites that sell the bike.
they dont spend much money for advertising, but try and get placements because people genuinely like the bikes or design.
1. box came in with all parts complete. quick plug for amazon prime. every other site on the net charges 50 bucks minimum for a bike delivered.
I got mine next day air for 3.99. the prime membership pays for itself.
2. Mine came with a coaster brake, and front brakes. i took mine off, but decided to take it off, before you add the front fender and wheels. not easy to dissamble.
3. the front forks was kind of a challenge to get the wheel and extra forks for front spring shock in. I had to use a lot of strength to get it in. also, make sure the derailer cable isn't tangled in the forks,bc you will have to take it back apart and its a pain.
4. bike is super sturdy. Doesn't feel cheap at all.
5. seat is super cushy.
Actual putting together was very easy, and you didn't need much extra tools.
i have not ridden the bike yet, bc i have to get a lock, helmet and pump up the tires. i will post up a follow up soon.
Sam

Feel like a kid again, December 5, 2009

I love this bike. Very solid construction and generates a lot of conversation. Assembly was a bit of a challenge with the Springer fork and the fender guides but now that it's done it's been a thing of beauty. Added a rear rack and cup holder to help with commuting. Resting now for the winter but am looking forward to spring and using it to commute to the golf course with my new bicycle golf caddy/pull cart.
