This book covers too many years and is way too generic. I had a 97 PU 4x4 and had a lot of trouble finding anything applicable to it. The most basic of repairs and maintenance is described in terms way too general. I'd hate to try and use this for anything remotely complicated. The pictures were nearly useless as they are only applicable to specific years.

I bought this because I have a '91 Nissan truck. I expected it would include helpful information specific to my truck. It seems, however, to have no relation to my truck at all. The pictures, diagrams and text don't seem to describe any vehicle specifically. Instead it gives a general idea of what you might encounter, generically, in nearly any vehicle.

As a specific example, there are five pictures and diagrams showing how to check and change a drive belt. None of the five belt configurations, however, are what I see in my truck. I've always thought Haynes were pretty good, but this one's a huge disappointment.

This book covers too many years. Only one out of five illustrations is applicable to later year models. Wiring diagrams are out of date and useless. For up to date information on your truck go to alldata.com. For $24.95 a year you can get the latest info and excellent wiring diagrams.

I bought this book at a parts store. I was replacing the starter in my neighbor's '91 Pathfinder and was hoping for some hints on how to get the starter out of the vehicle. As with most of today's vehicles, it's crammed in there pretty well. The instructions provided in the book were basically to 1) disconnect the wires from the starter, 2) remove the mounting bolts, and 3) pull the starter from the vehicle. That's it! Now if I didn't know those things already, chances are I would never have been able to get the hood open and I would certainly have no business attempting this repair. What the manual failed to mention was that I needed to remove the shield from underneath the front of the vehicle and then remove the idler arm mounting bolts, allowing the center link to drop down and providing a clear path to easily remove the starter. This is the kind of information a good manual should provide; it would have saved me a lot of time and a great deal of frustration. (The book also failed to include the torque specifications for the starter mounting bolts - basic information that's especially important when dealing with a starter motor that has an aluminum body.) To sum things up, in my humble opinion, the information in this book is so vague and general that it's essentially worthless.

This manual was described as "good condition" and it arrived living up to its description. The manual has been helpful in repairing this layman's truck. Oh yeah, the price was a bargain compared to the retail price at the parts store.
