I have owned Haynes books in the past, often good, but for Pathfinder repair this is very poor. It might be fine for the other models listed, but don't bother if you are a Pathfinder owner. For example, I recently replaced the plugs on my 2002 Pathfinder without this book (using info from blogs online). This book devotes a few paragraphs to plug replacement - but almost entirely related to the other (non-Pathfinder) models. The book does not even reference the time consuming process of removing hoses, brackets, and other absolutely necessary procedures to get to the plugs (they are not sitting in plain sight as the book suggests, not even close). The blogs online had way better info, down to how many screws, clamps, hoses, etc. to remove. Also, the troubleshooting in this book (for any model) is weak. You are better off troubleshooting with a scanner (Amazon sells them cheap, under $50).

It has alot of information about the mechanical stuff, but al these books misses something, it cuold not cover all the components, but if you get it at a cheap price youll get the most of it !

I have owned Haynes manuals before and found them to be very good. So I bought one for my 2000 nissan pathfinder.

In fairness, the manual helped me once. I had to replace my front rotors, and the free running hubs on the 4x4 models are a bit complex to take apart if you've never done them.

You have to know how to use these. They often cover many models/years in one manual, so you have to read carefully to make sure that you are looking at the right instructions. Then, before you begin repairs you must examine the part you plan to repair (as much as you can without actually taking it apart) to make sure the steps provided work and make sense. Then you should be good to go.

This particular manual is useless for many things. It's actually worse than useless in some ways because it is wrong about some things (such as the procedure for displaying PCM codes.) The pathfinder has sensors all over the place and this manual generally lacks accuracy in dealing with the sensors and ECM. That's a pretty big miss.

For these types of manuals, the WORST thing you can do is be inaccurate. It'd be better to NOT address how to do a repair than get me halfway in, and leave me stuck with wrong instructions (parts not where they should be, etc). I cannot even give it two stars, despite the fact it helped me once, because it has stranded me a few times now.

For me, this book was a waste of money and more importantly, time.

Book is written with easy to follow instructions. Indexed to quickly find the pages needed.

manual helps with most repaired jobs. got it thru amazon. its takes to long to get it. would be better to go to auto parts store to purchase it.

I purchased for an 02 Pathfinder. Just as good as every other Haynes manual I've ever had. Lots and lots of good info, but you always wish there was just a little more.

Great manual with easy to follow instructions and accurate pictures for just about any job a DIY auto owner could want to do.
