this book is good for the history of the skyline gt-r series but it falls short regarding the R35 series and mostly regurgitates information that was available at the time of the publication. It would be the perfect GT-R book if it were updated in 2009 especially with the release of the V-spec/ spec V and 2010 type GT-R.

Great gift for any nissan enthusiast and for owners or fans of the R32-R34 series it's one of the best books. Andy Butlers book is also a good companion to this book and i recommend purchase of both volumes for a complete view of the R32-34 series Skyline GT-R: The Ultimate Japanese Supercar

Without a doubt, there is no other book which offers the in depth knowledge and history of the GTR line of vehicles. Learned a ton about the previous models, their limitations and unique features. The author Alex Gorodji is well known in the industry for his knowledge on the GTR line of vehicles. The pictures rock too!

This book does an excellent job of presenting both the history and technology that make these cars so great. It explains the motivations behind the myriad of technological advancements that have become synonomous with the GT-R. I found the language and depth of the information just about perfect for a casual reader or an avid automobile aficianado. So if you love cars and want to know more about 'Godzilla'; or if you're not quite sure what it is about this car that drew you in, this book is a great way to discover more... And may spark your interest in the cars it was developed/designed to beat.

If I actually was able to take 2min a flip through this book instead of buying site unseen, I would have passed!!!!! Take my advice, pass on this book if you are looking for a coffee table book with the history of the GT-R. This one is more centered around armature racing theme and the picture do leave a little to be desired. I was VERY disappointed!!!

The Nissan GT-R with all wheel drive and 480 hp. has an incredible amount of technology built in for a bargain price. This book looks at the Japanese and prototype history of the 2009-2010 Nissan GT-R.
