I am a mechanic and and auto enthusiast. I find Chilton's manuals extremely helpful and much more in depth than any other service tool on the market, especially Haynes. Chiltons provides full schematics, computer servicing instructions and teaches me things that I didn't even know. I would personally recommend their series of books to anyone interested in servicing their own cars. They are the best presents too. Help the people you care about take pride in their cars.

Hanes Manuals have done well for every auto I have owned, till the neighborhood parts store switched to Chiltons. I paid the price for something wrapped in plastic, only to find the book incomplete and the section on wheel bearings, although indexed, is missing not only from my book, but also several others the parts store checked. I am disappointed, and next time will take the extra effort to either rip open the cover or better yet, continue to look for a quality tech manual.
