Virtually unbreakable, this lightweight, stainless-steel, double-walled, vacuum-insulated thermos has a leak-proof stopper so it can travel anywhere in a briefcase, purse, or backpack. For at least six hours, coffee, tea, or soup will remain hot. Lemonade, iced tea, or sports drink will remain chilled at least 12 hours. The bottle is compact (9-1/2 inches high, with a 3-inch-diameter bottom) and handsome. A band of soft, nonslip black rubber encircles the comfortable, ergonomically shaped, satin-finish exterior, ensuring a firm grip. The stopper's top twists to permit dripless pouring while preserving the beverage temperature inside the bottle. Removing the entire stopper provides ample passage for ice cubes. The bottle's cap, which becomes a drinking cup when removed, is black plastic. Preheating or prechilling the bottle with hot or cold water is recommended. When I purchased this item, I was skeptical of the results. I've had others that leaked (even though they were leak proof), others that didn't keep my coffee/tea hot for more than 20 minutes, and still others that just weren't big enough to quench my coffee thirst or wake me up. I realized that I needed something new, I needed a larger travel mug that was actually leak proof and kept my drinks hot. I finally found it. The briefcase bottle is large enough to give me hot coffee for the entire 1 hour trip into work. Its refreshing to see steam come out of the top of the lid when I open it up (not like the other poor saps who have luke warm coffee on the train).

Nissan has not only created the better travel mug, but created a lifelong owner of its product.

I purchased this for my daughter who is in full-day preschool/daycare. She drinks a lot of milk during the day and I wanted to make sure it didn't spoil quickly. I fill this thermos the night before and put it in the refrigerator. This thermos is in my daughters backpack from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. If there is any milk left in the thermos at 5:30 p.m. when I pick up my daughter, it's still cold even though it's opened and closed probably 5 or 6 times during the day for snack, refreshment, lunch, etc. It's unbelievable.

I recently filled it with boiling water at 7:00 a.m. during a snowstorm just in case we lost electricity and wanted tea or hot chocolate to warm up and at 7:00 p.m. that night when the storm ended the water was still boiling hot! This is the best thermos there is! It also stands up to constant dropping and it's not even dented!

I have this thermos for a few years now and still use it for coffee when driving in the car. Coffee stays hot for many hours. I use it on long trips too. I wash the inside with a baby bottle brush and it is still sparkling stainless steel inside.
