When I managed to find this book at the local Pep Boys, I thought it was a heaven-sent. Finally I had a service manual for my 1989 Nissan Stanza. However, when I went to actually USE the manual, I was vastly disappointed. The lack of cross-references and/or complete instructions within the sections of the manual leave much to be desired. To remove the water pump, for the car, for example, requires removing the timing cover as part of the process, but nowhere in the water pump removal instructions is this mentioned. Instead it is assumed that the person doing the work already knows this fact and knows exactly where in the book to find the proper instructions for that part of the process. And when one DOES find the proper instructions for the unmentioned part of the process, those too may very well be incomplete and/or out of order (like describing that the timing cover may be removed prior to removing the main pulley.....and yet the cover is rather firmly wedged between the pulley and the water pump, necessetating the removal of the pulley first, etc).

All in all, I found this book better for getting into trouble, than anything......and more useful for doing harm than good. Look elsewhere if you're in the market for a manual for your Stanza (I can't speak for Haynes other books, though, just in regards to this particular one).

The book is fine for genral repairs. But, do not buy it unless you have a non-fuel injected model. It does not cover anything fuel inhjected. The engine diagram is completely different than my '87 Stanza GXE sedan.

I think this was written for european models only.

I'm going to buy chiltons book now.

I can always count in Amazon to have just about anything at the best price and usually brand new. The Repair Manual I ordered was just what I was looking for at a very affordable price. You can't go wrong.

The book good. If there is an automobile made in Japan and for Japan that having this book can be understood as to repair. It is a pity just(now) not enough description about an injector. But all the same it is good, it is better to have though that what in general anything.
