5.0 out of 5 stars Clever Design!!, March 17, 2010

Nice little accessory, Instructions are cast into the product though you need good vision with the small size Figure 9.
Perfect for adjusting the taughtness of your tent if it does not have good adjusters. Way ahead of the usual string with plastic adjusters on some less expensive tents. Also ideal for usage with tarps, Tie off your tarp guylines incorporating the Figure 9's in the line and adjust away. No more trying to pull the ropes tight, maintain tension and tie them off without loosing taughtness.
Very clever product, I wish I had these for all of my camping trips over the past 25 years.
Worth every penny!!

5.0 out of 5 stars knots are overrated :), March 2, 2011

I'm tired, it's dark, and I've got to hang the tarp over the hammock...

no need for knots anymore after these little beauties! They are small and light, but easy to use, even with gloves on...and even in the dark!

Zero slippage too - high wind and rain...zero slippage. great idea - glad I found 'em!

4.0 out of 5 stars Quick & Handy... A bit smaller than thought, October 13, 2009

I anchor and lash stuff down, pretty regularly. I use to make my own "quick fix" ones, so having these, cheaper than if you paid the "full price", are great to have around! The carabiner style "small" is a bit larger than this style's "small". This one I would say use for tent tie-outs, and it helped me keep my "plant press" clamped, for college. Definitely only up to "Hiking boot shoe lace", at best. The carabiner style may take 2 mm thicker line, but is about a 1/3 bigger in over-all size. These are like 50 cent pieces in your pocket. Watch your sizes with the "Figure 9s" and definitely handy for utilizing regularly. I have 2 XLs(this style), 3 large (carabiner), 5 small (carabiner), & 10 small (this style), mostly used with a couple back-ups.
