FAIL!,

I got one of these little wonders from Santa in my stocking this Christmas (yes, I am a tad on the North side of fifty. Yes, I still "hang my stocking with care". It's childLIKE, not childISH!) .
Unfortunately, it looks like Santa is outsourcing to China these days. At first, I thought the product was pretty darn nifty. Nice and bright, easy to use. I even ordered another one, in red. Then, it stuck in the "on" position, and died after a day or so of blinking. We then discover that this is the ultimate in disposable technology, as the replacement batteries cost more that the product does. Of course, you can buy them in bulk, direct from China, and they are cheaper, but still. So, the quality is poor and the design is poor. For all attempts and purposes this is a buy, use for a brief time, hope it doesn't break, then toss product. And then you are tossing some things that maybe should not be tossed in the landfill. Do not buy this product. |
