Terrific Light,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 2010 NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Headlight w/Li-Ion Battery (Misc.)
I have now purchased 3 of these lights - 2 for me, 1 for my son. It's lightweight, easy to setup, charges quickly, has good battery life, and is terrificly bright. My 8 year old son keeps his strapped on his bike - anytime it starts getting dark, he turns it on - it makes him much more visible to traffic. I often go on evening and early morning mountain bike trail rides, so I purchased the helmet mount for this light (separate item), and I ride with one on my handlebar, and one on my helmet - I highly recommend this setup for any serious night riding.

Niterider has always made quality lights and this one is no exception. The light gives off a nice white beam, charges quickly, has a decent run time and can be quickly changed from one bike to another. I was also pleasantly surprised to see they're still made in the USA.

I like to ride my bike to school, but riding home at 11 PM it is too dark to feel safe; however, this tiny light is better than my car headlights! It is tiny, but really it is the best light I have used. Solid construction, and you can charge it on your laptop while you study. I love it.

Bright enough for night commutes or dark trails. I love that I can easily switch it from my commuter to my mountain bike. It stays put on the handle bars and doesn't get jiggled out of place over bumps. Charges on any mini USB. I like this light better than my more expensive halogen Light & Motion rig.
I wish it had a blinking mode.

This is a fairly bright light, and in a group I'm always one of the brighter bicycles. When I'm alone, it works well to light the road at dawn and dusk, but it isn't really bright enough to use alone and in the country. Without street lights and other cyclists I can only see about thirty to forty feet in front of me, which isn't much distance when you're moving twenty mph. If you're going to do any trail or unlit road riding, I'd recommend something brighter.
I also had to mount the light upside down to avoid my brake cables casting a shadow. Not a big deal, but it took me a couple rides to remember to do it. This light would be significantly better if it had multiple power modes. When I'm riding downtown it's much brighter than I need, and with only three hours of power it would be nice to conserve a little.

way overpriced for what you get,

Nightrider makes a great product but I cannot believe how much they are charging for a light that only puts out 110 lumens. Companies like MagicShine are making 1400 lumen lights for the same price.
