Jump Blues Fans MUST Buy This CD,
This review is from: Nitelife Boogie (Audio CD)
Following his freshman effort "Fixin' Your Head," Nick Curran returns to Fort Horton studios in Austin, TX, and once again produces a contemporary jump blues masterpiece. Anyone that felt the first CD was beginner's luck will be convinced that Nick is the real deal with this one. Nick's first CD is a listener favorite on my blues radio show (KNON 89.3 FM Dallas, Mondays 6-8 Central) and this one is just a popular. For the skeptical, I like to play the title cut (Nitelife Boogie) against the origial recording. It's a close, authentic cover, true to the original but not a clone. Nick definitely has that early 50's sound down cold. These two CDs are turning Fort Horton studios into a meca for blues artists around the country. One listen and you will understand why. If you like jump blues in the style of T-Bone Walker, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson, Magic Sam, Goree Carter, etc., do yourself a favor and get this CD right away!

Nick Curran hasn't disappointed me yet even when he goes from one style to another. This CD is no exception. If you like an assortment of styles, Nick won't let you down. If you already own this CD, enjoy and if not, it worth looking into for you collection. Again, Enjoy!
