Most Helpful Customer Reviews

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By M. Kirst on July 10, 2012
I'm on my second set of these tires and I won't buy any other model at this point. Excellent for trailer towing as they are good at weight-bearing and don't get squirmy, they have very good traction in snow and mud, and are great on dirt roads. Even though they're heavy duty, the ride is nice, and they don't make that noisy hum of other tires of this type. I had them on my old SUV and never ever got stuck in snow. I bought a new SUV and got stuck in snow in my driveway that winter using the factory tires, so these make a huge difference. I really like the ride of these traveling at highway speeds as well. Recommended.

I drive a 2001 Chevrolet Duramax 2500HD, a heavy truck. I've gone through two sets of these on my truck towing, street, and touring. They are great tires, under heavy load they don't flex much and are comfortable to drive. They are not loud at all and going down the highway they are comfortable. The sidewalls have a very nice design and they look great in general, they give an aggressive look without going too far. But they're not perfect. I didn't get as many miles out of them as I wished I had but that's to be expected. After it was all said and done the tires were changed at around 43,000 miles (was hoping for 55-60000), they had another 1-2000 or so in them depending how low you let them get. Also traction isn't the best. In snow, dirt, mud, and ice they performed admirably, and that's where it REALLY matters. My complaint is in dry and wet roads the tires are anything but inspiring, they often slip at stop lights/signs in the rain. Now I understand that people with different trucks have different experiences, mine is VERY front heavy and has a lot of torque so the traction can lack. Meanwhile in a more balanced truck or a lighter truck I imagine they may perform very well. All of that said I've now purchased my third set of these. I would recommend them, they're great tires and last reasonably long and do what I ask of them. Don't last as long as my Toyo A/T's I had but they do tow, drive, and look better imo. Would recommend, great tire overall.

Bought 4 of these for my LR3 from Amazon...didn't realize that the shipper would insist that I be there to meet the delivery because of some weight/cost metric they have. Told them to send the tires back to Amazon (got full refund, which is why Amazon works so well) and then ordered the exact same tires of ebay-oddly enough those were delivered to the door without any signature required.

The tires themselves look fantastic on the truck and provide a good stance without overstating; performed extremely well in the recent snow throughout the mid-atlantic (literally being put on the morning of the storm and then driving over 500mi in the next few days without flinching either at speed or going down unplowed streets).
