Product Description

The all-new Trail Grappler M/T blends some of the off-road performance of the Mud Grappler with the on-road comfort of the Terra Grappler to create a tire that is both aggressive and quiet. For off-road performance, the sidewall combines a 3-ply high turn-up construction with a thick rubber compound that cushions the tire and helps prevent punctures. On the tread surface, the blocks are configured to provide additional biting edges that command lateral stability and enhance forward traction. For on-road comfort, Nitto’s engineers used advanced sound analysis equipment to reduce the noise levels commonly associated with off-road tires. The internal construction and tread design also help optimize treadlife. Two wide steel belts provide a stable base for the tire and increase tread strength. This advanced construction provides optimal uniformity and reduces irregular wear.

I have been a BF Goodrich fan for a long time. Not anymore. These are the best tire I have ever bought. Very quite. Very aggressive and very good looking. And most importantly they are made in USA!!!! I am now a nitto fan forever. ..

Update as of 9/11/13 So i have put some miles on these tires and still LOVE them. I have been on two jeep jamborees with them and they performed awsome. Did great on rocks, trails and mud. I still cant figure out how these tires are so quiet on the highway? Still very happy with my purchase of these tires.

I have had these 35x12.5x17 on my 2011 Jeep JKU since purchased new back in December 2010. The tires are 3 years, 4 months old and have 59,000 miles on them, with plenty of tread left. They are starting to crack a little between the treads, but 60,000 for mud tires it unheard of!

Tires are very quiet and smooth on the road. They do start humming after about 30,000 miles though, but not bad.

Have driven tires in Sand on Assateague Island in MD, rock crawling, trails, and mud at Rausch Creek Off Road Park in PA, and these tires perform better than any other AT or MT tires that I have ever owned, going back to my 86 CJ-7.

Just started pricing up a new set, but will most likely be able to get to 65,000 miles on them and wait until mid-summer / fall to replace them.

I bought five 35 x 12.5 x 17 for my 2013 JKU after lifting 3.5 inches. These tires are almost as quiet as stock 32s, was debating BFG KM2, the Nittos were about the same price, but several tire dealers told me to look at the Nittos, glad I did. The Nittos may be heavier than BFG KM2, but these are 10 ply and I like the side wall tread. I'm running 38lbs of air pressure, gas mileage is maybe 1 to 2 mpg less than stock at 65 mph. Happy with my decision.
