Between sun exposure and the chlorine from the pool, my lips need a bit of TLC. This TLC comes in a .17 ounce tube from Nivea, and the kiss of moisture is just in time.

This is no ordinary chap stick with SPF 4, quick absorption into the lips, jojoba oil, and shea butter. My lips feel smooth, and I can go back into the sun again.

This moisture care is amazing and should be in everyone's bag, purse, desk, and car.

I've been using this before I sleep, and underneath my lipliner and lipstick during the day. Applying to my lips only twice each day has yeilded suprirsingly great results. The SPF is pretty low, but out of all the chap sticks/lip moisturizers, this one has been one of the best I've used thus far.

It absorbed very well and didn't give that caked on gloss feeling. My lip liner on top of it actually stayed and didn't rub off of it like some lip moisturizers.

I would recommend this product.

I like this lip balm and would purchase it on a regular basis. It glides on smooth and moisturizes my lips just the way I like it. When I wear lip balm I want to be able to feel that I have it on.

I'm a redhead with very fair skin, so I have a lot of problems with products that are drying or do not protect my lips when I am in the sun. This moisturizes while it softens your lips.

All of the redheads in our family have used Nivea products for years -- and this is the newest addition that will be in our houses and purses from now on. It lasts, lips stay moist, there is no rough skin on your lips. You will love it.

This is the best lip balm that I have ever tried. The day it arrived I put it on. My lips are smoother, softer, and feel good -- which is amazing in the dry weather we are having. So, my mom had to try it too -- and she was immediately hooked as well.

We use a number of Nivea products, and have discovered through the years that all of their products are pure and keep our dry skin fresh and moistened. This lip moisturer is no different.

Bottom line: This is excellent! If you have not tried it, do so -- you will be glad that you did. It is pure and I haven't run into anyone who has had any type of reaction to it.

I use lip moisture during dry weather (especially winter) and during times of a lot of air travel. In the past I have always used one of the chapsticks you can get at any pharmacy.

This product is different in the ingredients it uses, and in the way it works. Here are some of the differences:

It does not offer much sun protection. The package I got has no mention of an SPF, though the Amazon page says SPF4, which is not much. The over-the-counter pharmacy brand has a higher SPF.

It is less waxy, a bit more oily. As such, it goes on easier, and soaks in more readily. It probably needs to be applied more often for the same reason.

It gives my lips a very mild but odd slightly irritated sensation, almost like it itches or burns... but as I said, this is very mild.

I have a feeling that when I have really dry lips, this product will probably provide faster relief, but also require applying more often. Instead of simply sitting on top of the lips (which does offer protection, but only moisturizes by trapping your own moisture), it soaks in more.

Unfortunately, at the time I first tried it, I really don't need it much... because I am not traveling, and because we are having an unusually wet summer, with humid, nearly tropical air... which is very good for one's lips, obviating the need for a lip balm.

I will update this review when I have a chance to use it during a time of very dry lips. For now, it gets a rating of 3, because of the very slight irritation I notice, the low SPF factor, and that it does not seem obviously better than my usual product choices.

UPDATE: I have been using it regularly this week (October), as the dry weather makesit useful now. It is quick and effective on my dry lips.

My wife and I find this product does a better job than Chapstick when it comes to moisturizing our lips. Compared to Blistex ointment, the Nivea product seems to provide quicker relief, but my impression is the Blistex will be more effective after a few hours if things have gotten out of hand. I'd be inclined to put this on first, then reach for the blistex for the next application. Since my lips tend to get pretty chapped before I think of using something, it'll come in handy.

One thing we noticed is the Nivea lip care product is more "food proof" than other products. It'll probably last through dinner and you won't need to reapply it every time you sip your drink.

My husband teases me because I constantly use lip balm or chap stick. I tell him that if he loves me he'll always have some in his pocket for me if I forget mine. Needless to say, I use a lot and I have tried every kind out there (and returned the bads ones).

I would rate this at the top of my list. It's got a buttery softness without leaving you sticky or gooey lips. It doesn't have a weird taste and your lips won't feel dry again an hour later. I swear some lip balms have ingredients in them that make your lips more dry than before you tried them! Winter is approaching, stock up on this!
