I have the pixstar 10 inch and I wanted to go a little bit bigger so I tried this. I was very disappointed. I went through customer service several times, they were great and trying to help but the frames software and website still has many limitations and it's just not up to snuff yet.
After trying to load a lot of pictures on it I quickly realized what auto rotate means which the Pixstar has but this does not. I was having to rotate each picture to the proper view. Very time consuming. Also every time I tried it to bulk load photos it caused a crash. Then you had to start all over again and you couldn't really tell which photos you had loaded. I have loaded over 4000 photos on a Pixstar without any problems, remotely. Also, the idea of album versus playlist was just very confusing and quite honestly a little bit stupid once I figured it out.I did like the motion sensor part but given all the other negatives, it's definitely not worth it. I keep a Pixstar at my 87 year old mothers house and I can manage it easily on the web. I can also tell what it's doing from the web. With this Nixplay, that was very difficult.
So now I'm sending it back and ordering the larger pixstar.

Poor product, that does not work very well and through the small print they want to get full access to your personal pictures...

My mom bought 4 of these as gifts for Christmas for family members spread across the country. After almost 3 hours of struggling through trying to set these up, we're quitting and will be returning them. Among us are 2 web designers with tons of experience in technology (app development, web design, etc) and still, we can't get anything to work properly. Can't load photos, can't share from our iPhones, can't figure out why none of the contacts we keep adding are getting "approved," and the "Share" button on the remote only brings up a "Coming Soon" message. Nixplay sold a product that wasn't finished, which is extremely annoying.

Everyone at my house is frustrated and my mom is upset that her gifts don't work. Fun Christmas. I have no idea how there are so many great reviews on here--I suspect some of them are fake.

If you buy one (and I say please don't), know that you need to have a computer--sharing pictures from your phone doesn't work, even though the app (which is also completely worthless) indicates that you can.

Buyer beware, the frame I received did not look like the one in the photos. The bezel in the photos is much smaller than it is on the actual frame, and the photos also make the frame appear much thinner than it actually is. In actual fact, the bezel around the frame is huge and it is much thicker than it looks.

To confirm, I took some simple measurements to prove that the photos have either been altered or are not of the actual item. On my frame, the bezel is 25.8mm wide and the screen is 247mm wide (10.4% ratio). On the image of the frame on this page, the screen is 853 pixels wide and the bezel is 68 pixels (7.9% ratio). That may sound like a small difference but it significantly affects the appearance of the frame.

The frame is also much thicker than it appears in the photos. At its widest point it is 33mm (1.3") thick. Looking at the photos it looks about as thick as an iPad. Don't be fooled!

First of all why is wifi set up required right away? Even windows let you do that later. It gets even better. If you enter the wifi password wrong, no reset and it keeps skipping the page to register. Now you are stuck and have to ask support team to help. Before I reach out to them, why is this not in support forum and how to fix this? Nothing but headache and who has that much time. Lacks common features such as touch screen and set up could be nightmare. I purchased this for my mom. If I have that much trouble setting up, how would I expect her to operate this. Feedback for the IT department. take the mandatory wifi setup out at the beginning and let us decide when we want to do it and if it the network or password is typed wrong, do something so we can correct it ourselves before trying to reach out to you and wait. Simplicity is elegance and hope you get it right soon.

I ordered three of the frames, 2 as birthday gifts. After many tries and lots of conversation with nixplay we could not get themto work. Had a hard time getting customer service to return our calls. It seemed to be a bug in the keyboard of the frame and was told
we would have to have our internet provider to come install something at the cost of $75. ea. Just got tired of trying to make it work.
Sent them all back and will try again with another brand.

This was purchased as a gift for my mom. We found it ridiculously hard to set up properly & at this point is not even being used because we set it up at my house first using my wi-fi, then gave it to my mom - assuming of course that she would be able to set it up to recognize her wi-fi. We've had numerous people work on this piece of "equipment", and no success - the frame just keeps looking for my wi-fi & does not function at all. At this point it is just sitting in the box waiting for someone to want it. I would not purchase this product again. Now I will have to find a different gift for my mom.

I was excited to get this product, but im unable to set it up or use it. Im getting an error that says "your frame is not connected" when i try to create my account at nixplay.com. Unfortunately, the device was designed in a way that does not allow you to go past the serial number screen setup UNTIL the website can connect to the frame, so im helpless to troubleshoot. Very poorly designed. Had high hopes for this but Im very disappointed.

You cannot email photos from your iphone to the frame. The iphone picture file type is not supported. I am having to work around this by creating another picasa account and emailing photos to that account, then linking my frame to the picasa account. I think the advertising is very misleading. What is the point of the email address if every iphone user has to convert the file type?

I really liked the idea of a cloud connected frame, and initially everything worked exactly as advertized. I loading 300+ photos to the cloud as a playlist, and set the frame to play that playlist. About a week or two after, I started seeing some of the photos being displayed sideways and upside down. I called support, they tried some things, but finally just suggested removing and re-adding the playlist to the frame. That resolved the issue, but I was uncomfortable with the solution.

A week later the same problem reoccurred. I again contacted support, and this time they were even less helpful. At one point they suggested I move the frame closer to my router, even though the frame was getting a strong signal. Since that would have required me to put the frame in the middle of the room, I declined.

I was unable to get them to address the root cause of the issue, and have returned the frame as defective, whether that is in manufacture or design I don't care. I am pretty sure that if I upload pictures and orient them correctly in the cloud, it is a reasonable requirement that the frame display them in the same orientation.
