Fun bilingual pop/rap blend,
This review is from: No.1 (Different Cover Art) (Audio CD)
On their CD entitled "No. 1," the duo Band Ohne Namen generally follow a particular formula: German language lyrics with English language refrains. Most of the songs are rapped, with the refrains sung (although some songs feature more singing). Some of the more noteworthy tracks:"Boys," which appears in two versions on the CD. "Sex Control," which features risque lyrics ("Let me be the ball, you the goal") and orgasmic male moaning that sounds like it came from a porn film soundtrack. "Take My Heart": a sweet, melancholy love song that is tenderly sung. "Knockin'": A more edgy rapped song about desire and loneliness. "Knockin" also appears in a second version. "Can You Mend a Broken Heart?": another rapped song with a particularly high-tech sound. Overall, a fun, slick sounding CD.

If you like N'Sync and other such pop bands you'll love this. The dynamic duo of two german pop stars is wonderful. A great buy even if you don't speak German.

I first heard B.O.N. while in Europe over the summer and their most famous song "Boys" is fantastic. These two "boys" have great potential and their songs are truly good.

This CD is really great to listen to at any time. Parts of it are in German and I really like German Music. I heard it first in Germany and it's a real hit over there.
