Total High School Song,
By Irish Misse (Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: No Air duet with Chris Brown (MP3 Download)
I had watched the season that Jordin was on in American Idol. I had heard this song on the radio (probably too much?) and decided to download today based on a snippet I heard today....
I have to say I like the song, but the ending is really [...]... of course now given the whole Chris Brown thing it makes me feel disgusted about him in general, but really this song is a sappy love song and the ending is nothing but them shouting out random chords and overly emotional notes that seem to compete more and more with each other the longer it goes along to prove they have singing ability. And it seems to go along tooooo long. I know you can both sing... Modern day Air Supply. Blech.... But might appeal to a lot of people. Just not me. Just my opinion :)

I wasn't a big fan of hers when she was on AI. She seemed to phony and 'innocent' acting.
But this single was stronger with Chris Brown.

I'm not usually a huge music listener, but I heard this one on the radio, and it stood out to me. It goes quite well with Cheryl Renee Herbsman's debut novel, Breathing.

Great duet. Love the blend of the voices and love the lyrics as well as the tune.

The New York City radio station KTU plays this songs regularly. I love to listen to it on radio.

Last year's American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, really hasn't hit the nail on the head with great songs on her debut. While her debut single Tattoo was a fair song, it just hasn't shown that she has stood out well to compete with greats like Alicia Keys or newcomer Chrisette Michele. Her second single from that album, No Air with rising Hip Hop star Chris Brown, doesn't work well either. While the song has a fairly nice beat, it just doesn't seem to be an everlasting song that stands out. On top of that, the duet doesn't actually show that there is complete chemistry like other classics. I just honestly think she has a good talent, but needs to find better footing for the long run. Her next single needs to do a much better job at sealing the deal.

It is a good song. Too bad we didn't know that "No Air" was a reference to the way Chris Brown abuses his women. (Sorry...couldn't help my self : )

I absolutely love this single. It is definitely a very emotional song which shows both Jordin's and Chris' vocals beautifully.
Combine this with the music video and it is a must have! A++ |
