5.0 out of 5 stars Make room for No Authority!
When I first heard about No Authority, I was completely skeptical. "Another boy band - does the world need this?" I thought. The album took me by surprise. Believe it or not, I feel this is a much more consistent and appealing album than the Backstreet Boys' "Millenium." 3.0 out of 5 stars No Authority, July 30, 2000
This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
California's NO AUTHORITY bring a uniquely different sound to their sophomore self-titled album, the follow-up to their debut Keep On features many up-tempo dance tunes with aggressive edgy beats. Ballads are unfortunately, very limited. Singer Tommy McCarthy has long replaced Josh Keaton's vocals from the first album- his voice is weaker than Keaton's, therefore, influencing most of the group's choice of cuts. Their debut single What I Wanna Do is an instant hit - a very catchy and addictive summer tune! Other mentionable tracks include the sweet mid-tempo Beautiful Girl and Can't Go On. Many listeners will also appreciate the group's only co-written tune, Thinkin' - this features a original Spanish influenced rap by Danny Zavatsky. Hopefully NO AUTHORITY's next single, Can I Get Your Number (A Girl Like You) will continue their American success.

When I first heard about No Authority, I was completely skeptical. "Another boy band - does the world need this?" I thought. The album took me by surprise. Believe it or not, I feel this is a much more consistent and appealing album than the Backstreet Boys' "Millenium." Aside from the catchy first single "Can I Get Your Number," the tight CD contains many commendable tracks, including "Here I Am," "I'm Telling You This," and "Beautiful." Yes, there is room for another boy band. Better yet, make room for No Authority.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot new album by a hot new boyband, July 18, 2000

This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
No Authority has surely hit it big with the release of their new self titled cd. They start it off with a song with a spanish beat called "Here I Am". The next song is equally as amazing. "Telling You this" will make any girl's heart melt when they listen to the harmonious voices sing. The next single is a Radio Disney fave called "what i wanna do". Following WIWD is a love song that will make any girl wish these cute guys where singing to them. Thier latest single, which is rocketing up the charts is next. "Can I Get Your Number" is in stores now. The next six songs are a variety of different beats, mixing pop music as well as R&B. You can even hear Danny's melodious voice on Thinkin.

You can't miss with this album. Every songs is great. Go out and buy it today!

3.0 out of 5 stars Much Much Better, July 18, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
This album shows that No Authority has grown up in a way that most artist like to describe it. Their last album was full of ballads and up-tempos that just didn't catch anyone ear, except for their highest single 'Don't Stop'. This new album is now filled with great up-tempo beats like singles 'What I wanna do' and 'Can I get your number' plus 'Make you dance'. It delivers mid-tempo/mellow songs like 'Beautiful Girl' and 'I'm telling you this', and who could forget the ballads 'Faithfully' and 'Here I am'. Most No Authority fans are just happy that the boys finally got this album out after about a year delay. Still, NA is yet to find their way up to the higher 'boy-band' status like BSB, Nsync, and 98 Degrees...but isn't everyone else?

5.0 out of 5 stars NA-the next hot band!, January 27, 2001
This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
I do admit I wasn't a fan of NA at first..but when I went to see them at an autograph signing/concert session, my opinion totally changed. These guys have it going ON!!!! As soon as I heard 'Can I Get Your Number', I was blown away by how great the guys sound together. Every song on this album is worthwhile listening to.The NA guys deserve a lot more credit than they get.

3.0 out of 5 stars some of it's okay, November 5, 2000
This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
a lot of the songs on this album are so dumb. especially "beautiful girl" i mean, it's so boring. some of the tracks including "it don't get better", "can i get your number", "what i wanna do",and "make you dance" are cool though. Ricky Felix has a good voice, and this album is slightly better than the first but not by much. I would say that it's half good, half bad. it's not worth your money if you weren't a fan of the group's first album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great c.d. !? but wait...., August 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
This c.d. is great the way all their vocals cometogether and great beats including that their all cute but their is no song called 'faithfully' on my c.d. our on any other c.d. copy i've looked at. well the c.d songs such as 'dont get better', 'what i wanna do', and 'can i get your number(a girl like you)' are all examples but the c.d has all great tracks, but that 'faithfully' track is got me wondering

5.0 out of 5 stars one of there best cd's yet!, August 3, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
This is one of their best cd's they made yet. They showed how much they matured since there first album and showed that they can still be successful without Josh, but still is welcome to comeback if he wants. And how the guys can harmonize good just like the other successful boybands and hopefully they can be where there at sometime in the future cause every true No Authority fan knows how much they deserve to be there where the other succesful boybands are at now.

5.0 out of 5 stars VeRy GoOd Cd, July 19, 2000
This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
It's FINALLY out after a year of waiting! Well, I have to say the cd is very very good. It's not really like their first album, but all in all it's worth buying. If you're into ballads and poppy songs this one's for you. And most definitely if you're into boy bands you gotta get this! Buh-byee!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Newest Hit Boy Group, July 18, 2000
This review is from: No Authority (Audio CD)
This CD's a definate change from the last one due to the change in the line up. But the guys have come a long way and they have stuck through tough times in a 5 year span. This album isn't a bubbley as it was made out to be and it's NA at their best.
