5.0 out of 5 stars My kids love to help in the kitchen now!
My daughter recieved this book as a gift. It's a fun and friendly book with easy to follow instructions. My daughter and her friends wasted no time getting me to supervise in the kitchen! As a single father, I think that books like this are a great way to get more involved and interact with your children. The biggest plus to my surprise is that they even cleaned...

3.0 out of 5 stars A great way to make nutritious food for your best friend
This book was very well written. It includes cute notes about the author's dog, and amusing ancedotes about life with dogs. I used the cookie recepies, and my dog loved them. They are very easy to make, and don't take up alot of time. I had hoped for more treat recipies rather than meal recipies.

As a single father, I think that books like this are a great way to get more involved and interact with your children. The biggest plus to my surprise is that they even cleaned the kitchen afterwards! We have tried several recipe's from this book and Daisey & Gnasher (our poodle & minature dobie) loved them! Have fun with your family with this one. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed No Barking at the Table ,the recipes were fun and easy to follow . Yes, some dogs are sensitive to onions according to my veterinarian,so I omitted that ingredient and Roxy didn't seem to notice and begged for more! I highly recommend the chicken broth cookies.

1.0 out of 5 stars I was very disappointed in the recipes in this book., September 28, 1997

This review is from: No Barking at the Table Cookbook: More Recipes Your Dog Will Beg for (Paperback)
I was very excited to get a book that would help me make healthy meals for my dogs. Imagine my dismay when I saw that MANY of the recipes used onions in them. I thought it was common knowledge that onions are toxic to dogs. And while I know that I can just leave that ingredient out of those recipes, I don't know if there are other ingredients used that may also be harmful to my pets. I trusted the author to do the research on the ingredients she used in her recipes, and because of her ignorance in the use of onions, I can't trust the safety of any of her recipes. I am sorry I bought the book.

NO BARKING AT THE TABLE is a fun and informative approach to your pet's cuisine. Try cooking some of the recipes with your children - a creative way of getting your children to feed the family pet. I found it fun and easy and our dog loved her meals.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Training Treat Ideas; Well Written and Easy to Follow, July 10, 2007
This review is from: No Barking at the Table Cookbook: More Recipes Your Dog Will Beg for (Paperback)
This is the first pet cookbook I've read that I can actually follow without getting frustrated or bored. The one error about onions is omitted and the author addresses this on her website. My dogs love the treats more than anything I've bought in the store and I'm now giving them as gifts to my friends. I also love the fact that the author is easily accessable on her website for more tips, recipes and info. I can't wait until she comes out with her next book.
