The death of her father catapults Beth into the heart of a feud between her mother, Esme, and Esme's sister, Mae—a feud that has been raging since Mae married Dan, the love of Esme's life. But in time Beth will discover that Dan is rather more than an uncle—he is her real father, something he refuses to acknowledge.
I was born in Swansea, South Wales, UK and have lived in the city all my life. I love the place.
Although I have had many jobs, from copy typist to personal secretary, I've wanted to be a published writer more than anything else since I was a small child. Sometimes I can't believe my dream has come true.
I have written ten novels. The first three for Piatkus Books were under the name of Doreen Edwards. I had six books published by Hodder & Stoughton under the name of Gwen Madoc. My tenth book is for Severn House Publishers also under that name.
