Book Description

October 1, 2009
No-compromise leadership is all about the thinking, behavior and accountability that support all leadership results and business outcomes.

With no-compromise as the mandate, even the best and most respected of companies reveal the need for improvement. Business size doesn't matter. When compromise seeps in, the more drag it places on growth momentum and energy. Allow it to go unchecked, even for a nanosecond, and the most achievable goals instantly turn into pipe dreams … yet another collection of missed opportunities. No-compromise means no missed opportunities. No-compromise leadership is a commitment to a higher standard that guides and nurtures a business culture capable of extraordinary achievement. No-compromise defines the type of leader you are. It defines the DNA of the business you lead.

This book was written to give business leaders a no-compromise operating system allowing dynamic companies to emerge. That is the true role of the no-compromise leader.

Winner of the 2010 IPPY Award's Bronze Medal for Business/Leadership.

Review

Jack Stack, author of The Great Game of Business and A Stake in the Outcome: "No-Compromise Leadership is more than a great read, it's what true leadership is all about."

Bo Burlingham, editor at large, INC. magazine and author of Small Giants: Companies that Choose to be Great Instead of Big: "Don't blame the competition, the economy or your employees for holding your business back. The real culprit is compromise at the leadership level. No-Compromise Leadership is a wake-up call for leaders of companies large and small, and an antidote to the mediocrity that afflicts so many of them."

Paula Kent Meehan, founder, Redken Laboratories and Kenquest: "No-Compromise Leadership is a non-negotiable must-read."

Jim Horan, author of The One Page Business Plan: "If your sales and profitability are not where you want them, if your customers are not raving fans, if your employees are not fully engaged and highly evangelistic about you and your company… you are seeing the effects of your compromise. And Neil Ducoff's book is going to give you a no-compromise wake-up call."

Ping Chu, president, Canmeng International; Taipei, Taiwan: "No-Compromise Leadership is the future for entrepreneurial leaders to create the right no-compromise cultures, not just in the United States, but around the world."

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books on leadership...ever!, January 21, 2010
This review is from: No-Compromise Leadership: A Higher Standard of Leadership Thinking and Behavior (Hardcover)
I'm a junky for books on personal development, business and leadership. Neil Ducoff has created one of the books you must have in your success library!

Written in a clear, incredibly well-organized and engaging style (with a sense of humor when appropriate!), this is not an academic exploration of leadership; this is step-by-step examination of leadership with the hightest standards and a wonderfully focused system for implementation.

Neil Ducoff defines leadership, explains his "no-compromise" approach and shows you how to install his philosophy in your business culture.

If you're leadership book shelf is full, you'd better add another shelf. This book deserves it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't accept 'good enough' and READ IT!!, April 19, 2009
By
G. Joshua (Pittsburgh, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: No-Compromise Leadership: A Higher Standard of Leadership Thinking and Behavior (Hardcover)
"No-Compromise Leadership" was a brilliant book. A very easy read that could be completed in a single weekend. Ducoff's "Neilisms" and concepts are insightful and should be implemented by leaders in any and every field, from coaches to CEOs. Author, Neil Ducoff gives a clear definition as to what "no-compromise leadership" is and takes the reader through the journey to success. Part I deals with the conceptual thinking behind no-compromise leadership. He opens with the negatives and cost of compromising and instructs the reader on how to abandon "leadership blockages" through stories, tips and ten non-negotiable requirements. Ducoff teaches new beliefs and new ways of thinking through a list of thirteen no-compromise beliefs such as, "freedom is the essence of motivation" and "people seek to be led, not managed". Part II presents a practical application to no-compromise leadership: productivity, profitability, staff retention, and customer loyalty, the Four Business Outcomes.
With Parts I and II under the reader's belt, Ducoff lets you know that although you may have the tools for no-compromise leadership you are not yet ready to implement it until you complete the final stage. Part III takes the reader through the steps necessary to put no-compromise leadership to work in your company. He talks about an 18-month sequence for leading a company "culture" shift to no-compromise. By the end of Part III, the reader is able to understand why this idea is timeless, undying, and never-ending. No-compromise is an approach to leadership that requires a life-long commitment to personal development and adhering to the highest leadership standards."
