Great! But not quite Shakira.,
By Marcelo Garza (Guatemala, Guatemala) - See all my reviews
This review is from: No Creo (Audio CD)
"No Creo" is the song in which Shakira expresses her ultimate philosophy; uncertainty. In the lyrics we are able to sense her disbelief of society. In "No Creo" Shakira tells us that society is corrupt, that every idea that has arisen in society is not worth it. That is why she decides to "give" herself, because nothing is going to change. ("No creo que el mar algun día pierda el sabor a sal"). The simbolism of this song is very profund.I believe this song is the greatest Shakira has made, it has a nice rythm, which she accompanies with her "harmonica". On top of that this song has the part that is a symbol for all fans; the "Un terron de sal, un rayo de sol..." CD-wise, the best she has ever done is "Pies Descalzos" which isn't as "electronic" as her last CD. "Pies Descalzos" is great because it is acoustic. This single is great, but I'd recommend either the Unplugged or the "Pies Descalzos" over it.
