5.0 out of 5 stars The life story of a gentle man who specializes in trust, August 21, 2004
This review is from: No Destination: An Autobiography (Paperback)
Satish Kumar is one of my favourite scholars on ecological matters. He's the founder of Schumacher College in Devon, U.K. where you can participate in a wide variety of ecological courses. He's also editor of Resurgence, a magazine covering the latest developments in quantum sciences, ecological highlights and other heart matters. His book covers the amazing story of his life, including his peace walk from New Delhi (India) to Washington D.C. Instructed by his spiritual master to trust God for providing all he needed, he walked for over two years without a penny in his pocket. A must-read for everyone who is in search of some more trust in life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Beautiful, September 24, 2009
I am a fan of all literary forms - excpet for one: the autobigraphy. A majority of the time they are dull and filled with nothing but the ego of the person hungrily typing out the words. When I first came across the name Satish Kumar I didn't know what to expect. A friend recommended him and I have been grateful.

No Destination is by far and bar none the best autobigraphical account of a life. There is no ego here. It simply is. Filled with a journey this book showed me that life is everywhere but we're too busy in our jobs, bills, television, etc to experience it. I have a high temper and can get frustrated very easily. I tell you this because, after reading No Destination, I wanted to be a better person. Not because the book is 'preachy' because it isn't. But it has that feel of longing as if you've found a lost friend. Since reading this I've picked up his others as well. If you like No Destination you would also enjoy The Buddha and the Terrorist.
