5.0 out of 5 stars Pro-Pain released a stand-out with this album
is it just me, or did Pro-Pain get a little tougher, and at the same time experimenting with bagpipes too. they have came a long way since 1999's "Act Of God".
the guitar solos absolutely crush on this release. Rob Barrett from Cannibal Corpse and Malevolent Creation lends his guitar wizardry to the song "Phoenix Rising". the song "To Never Return" really crushes...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not The Old Pro-Pain
Following on the path of "Age of.." it seems they're staying with this new style. It's not THAT bad, but it's not what I like. I'm more for the "Act of God" style. More hardcore, less melodies...

5.0 out of 5 stars Brutally Melodic, May 24, 2009
This review is from: No End in Sight (Audio CD)
I've said it many times to anyone willing to listen. Pro-Pain is incapable of making a bad album. This time around they have exceeded my expectations. Foul Taste Of Freedom has been one of my favorite albums since its release back in 1992. I'll say honestly, I've been following their yearly releases eagerly since then, and this album is their next best one to their debut. All ten of the songs are catchy as hell, and equally as heavy. What also makes this album unique is that it stands out the most among their other albums as far as the melody is concerned. For examples of what I mean, listen to 'Hour Of The Time', 'Go It Alone', 'All Rise' and 'Where We Stand.' It may be difficult to get them out of your head afterwards. I can't wait for their next album.

4.0 out of 5 stars The new meets the old.., October 22, 2008
This review is from: No End in Sight (Audio CD)
When i first put this cd in the song LET THE BLOOD RUN THROUGH THE STREETS hit me hard and is one of the stand out tracks on No End in Sight. What we have here is a mix of the newer Pro-Pain and the older. Signs of there S/T are def. here and we are greeted with an almost punk like sing along chorus on a few songs. Don't let that stray you away cuz the music is 100% Pro-Pain and there are some killer songs on here. The song To Never Return is one of the best Pro-Pain songs i have listened to ever. If you love Pro-Pain this is a must have if you haven't heard a lot from them this cd is fresh with a ton of hooks that will draw you in..

2.0 out of 5 stars easily, their worst album., July 4, 2010

I just couldn't really get into this cd. I like all of their other albums, but this one is too melodic. Pro-Pain works best when they are straight up, in your face aggressive. Some of their other albums had one or two melodic songs on them, but this one has too many. The best songs are Let the Blood flow through the streets, halo and the fight goes on. The rest is hit or miss. I just ordered their new one titled Absolute Power. I read that it is a return to the more aggressive style.

2.0 out of 5 stars Worst PP album to date., November 17, 2008

I've enjoyed everything from "Foul Taste of Freedom" to "Age of Tyranny" with my favorite being "The Truth Hurts", but this album was such a disappointment.

Imagine: 4 good tracks amongst 11 total. 4 tracks that sound like classic Pro-Pain: heavy, pissed, rhythmic... then there are the other 7 tracks (progression, some fools will call them). Now listen to these tracks and hear repeated references to the christian religion (be they facetious, sarcastic or serious it's hard to tell), lyrics sung in a power-metal style over traditional Pro-Pain musical orientation...

Those of us down from day one will find this record hard to like. I'd wished I'd spent 4 rather than 14 dollars on this disc.

Meskil, Klimchuck - love you guys, rebound on the next one.
