I believe that nowadays music as a whole has gone way down hill. It has focused more on the scandals and fashion of it all rather than the talent and the music itself. When I first heard this album, I very rarely get a feeling that puts aspiration in me that music is still being made that is this pure and amazing.

Track three alone. Starry Night is easily one of the best songs to come out this past year. Its vocals are smooth, the guitars are magical and when the orchestra comes in, this song goes from amazing to EPIC. One word to describe this song is incendiary.

Track seven (Loving You Is Easy) is one catchy song that you will find yourself singing in the shower, singing in the car when it is silent, or singing on a nice stroll. The percussion on this song just got me dancing for no reason. Very appealing.

Track number four brought me to tears. Very few songs have ever brought me to that. It is a song that brings you through a journey through your past and up to present and all the good things and bad things that have happened. Simply monumental in music making.

In all, if you are are an avid music listener, it would be in your best interest to get this album. These musicians are ones to watch out and keep them in your stereos for many years to come.

The Christian music industry has been blessed BIG TIME with Chris August! I can't say enough good things about this album. There is not a bad song in the bunch. I love everything about each and every song. Chris August's voice is amazing, and the music just sounds incredible. The sound, the lyrics . . . you can't go wrong. I highly recommend this CD, and I have no doubt it will instantly earn a place at the top of your favorites.

I see big things in the future for Chris August. He is one to watch, for sure! God has given him an amazing gift. So what are you waiting for? Do you want to be blessed? Get this album! Run, don't walk!

This is no one-hit wonder here. Already "Starry Night" is being eclipsed for play time on Christian radio stations by "7x70". You can debate over the better song of the two (personally, I like "7x70" better - without feeling I'm slighting "Starry Night" at all), but before this collection drifts into music memory-lane we'll likely see at least one more song rise in radio play from this nice collection.

As with all music CDs, not every song is a hit and there's a little unevenness in this collection, as well. And while I like the musical style of "Loving You is Easy" the lyrics are a little too cute for me. The idea is nice and the song plays well and it's definitely very singable, but it just seems a little too cliche-ic.

But overall, this is a very solid collection deserving of your time and money. If you like fellow-Texan Chris Tomlin, Tenth Ave North, and Sanctus Real, you'll like Chris August too.

This is such a great CD! It's so upbeat with some serious lyrics. I love listening to it, with it as loud as my ears can handle :)

I bought this album after listening to the samples and I must say that I'm quite pleasantly surprised. The message is relevant, the delivery was great. Highly recommended.

I bought this CD for my husband for Christmas for his now favorite song Starry Night and I was hoping that that would not be the only song on the CD we even liked. After listening to the CD we loved it! The whole CD is awesome. He reminds us a lot of Jimmy Needham!

"Starry Night" is among my favorite Worship songs. I love songs directly about Jesus where you do not have to guess who the song is about. I am thankful for the talent the Lord has blessed this gifted Songwriter with. Chris August could have used his talent to bring glory to himself but instead he gave it back to our Lord, who gave it to him in the first place. He is well aware of all that God has given him and his grateful shine through. I could not wait to buy his songs as soon as I hear them. Chris August comes across as profoundly humble and sincere in his love for our Lord. I look forward to being blessed with many more of his beautiful songs to come. I'm certain Jesus is smiling along with us for the joy his music brings. He even sounds good songing on UTube with just his guitar. I pray God grants him a triple portion of everything good and perfect and that he will continue to bless us with this great beloved man of God's voice. His music really helped me get through some tough seasons.

This is a great cd. I only heard his song Starry Night before I ordered the cd, but I was not disappointed. Chris August has a great sound and the lyrics have a lot of meaning.

I first heard Chris August on our local radio station with his single "Starry Night". For me, it was a catchy song, but there wasn't a lot about the song that made it stand out from the rest of the songs on the radio, except that I noticed Chris sang with a little soul. I appreciate soulful singing, so that caught my ear.

Then the radio started playing the song "7x70". I heard it a few times and thought it had a catchy melody. Then one day I listened to the words, and it really caught my attention: a very personal and powerful song dealing with past hurts and forgiveness. This song makes you think about how your past has affected who you are today. It also makes you see others in a slightly different light if you follow your thoughts that far.

Ok, at this point, I was wondering, "Who is this Chris August guy anyway?" So, after a few internet searches and watching some of his videos on YouTube, I couldn't help but like the guy. Between his "Candy Wrap" music video to his "Cooking with Chris" videos, he comes across as someone who enjoys life.

Then his song "Battle" started playing on the radio. It talks about the struggles we deal with in life, and that "the world will try to battle for my heart, but the war is already won." I connected with that song pretty strongly. I had already been thinking about getting this CD, but that was the last bit of motivation I needed. I looked up the CD on Amazon and ordered it right away, and I have not been disappointed.

This album is full of great songs with thoughtful lyrics, skillful musicianship, and soulful singing. I highly recommend the CD to anyone looking for some good music to add to your collection. If you like the Chris August songs you've heard on the radio, and you go buy a few of his singles, you're really missing out on the rest of the CD. If you're reading this review, you're obviously thinking about getting this CD anyway. Stop thinking about it, and just do it. You won't regret it.

This disc is a great buy!! I loved it and so did the person I gave it too! I love the songs sooo much!
