4.0 out of 5 stars Original raw--good start, February 23, 2005
This review is from: No Gods of Conscience: Unlife Legend Book One (Paperback)
This book really takes you for a ride. It starts our kind of strangely. It just throws you right into a story without explaining very much and then unfolds as you read. It is very original and the characters in it are certainly well thought out. This is far from what I'm used to seeing. It was dark and twisted at some points and yet the general theme seems to lean towards goodness, I think. I recommend it and certainly can't wait for the sequel, Pilgrimage of the dead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended, August 29, 2009

I love this book. The storytelling is great, and there's a really original device that allows you to see the world from the main character's point of view that you don't even know is there until you've finished. (Which is why the beginning of the book seems odd for the first ten chapters or so.) This isn't exactly Tolkien or Herbert, but if you enjoy fantasy epics you'll have a great time.
