4.0 out of 5 stars Another rockin' special edition
I find it extremely amusing that when I popped Airbourne's second CD No Guts. No Glory in the computer it tells me I'm listening to AC/DC's comeback album Black Ice. Both bands are from Australia, and Airbourne borrows - heavily - from AC/DC's signature sound. 2.0 out of 5 stars ::COUGH:: ACDC!! ... ::COUGH, COUGH::

Ever wonder what'd happen if a group of guys decided that ACDC didn't record enough albums, so they were gonna take over for them? Stop wondering, it's happened.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another rockin' special edition, December 20, 2010
This review is from: No Guts. No Glory. [Special Edition] (US Version) (MP3 Download)
I find it extremely amusing that when I popped Airbourne's second CD No Guts. No Glory in the computer it tells me I'm listening to AC/DC's comeback album Black Ice. Both bands are from Australia, and Airbourne borrows - heavily - from AC/DC's signature sound. Still, there's plenty of room for more AC/DC inspired rock bands (see also: Big Ball and Charm City Devils), and Airbourne is the best of the bunch.

Airbourne pretty much picks up where their debut Runnin Wild left off. The band basically plugged in their instruments and recorded these songs live, which resulted in a raw, unrestrained, pure expression of rock n' roll excess. Huge hooks, pounding rhythms and screamed lyrics about sex, booze and partying served AC/DC well for decades on end, and they do the trick for Airbourne as well. Single "No Way But the Hard Way" is an early favorite, but the whole album rocks like a hurricane. It's not remotely original, but it is entirely fun and not once will you get bored by an album as rocking as No Guts. No Glory.

Do you like rock n' roll? Then buy this album. It's that simple.

Edition Notes: The Special Edition of No Guts. No Glory comes in a digipack and has five additional studio bonus tracks. You can also download (legally, of course) the bonus tracks individually here on Amazon. They all rock, and if you're an Airbourne fan you're going to want to hear them. It's well worth the extra money.
