Has anyone else noticed that Kindle EBook is not an option to download once you start looking for EBooks on your library website. My only option are Adobe EPub, Open Epub, and MP3 audio books. I know the App was created to allow Kindle users to download EPub books, but I figured I would also be given the option to download Kindle EBooks as well.
I have a weird problem with Overdrive. I have a new Kindle Fire HD and I installed this on it, no big deal. I had another cheapie tablet that didn't run much, but it did run this fine. I had my library books and I was happy. Now, my Fire HD will run the app, but when changing chapters, the app automatically goes to the LAST page of the chapter, not the first. I couldn't figure out what was going on for a while, but finally figured out I have to page backward through the chapter to get to the beginning. That's just weird. It has to be a bug with the Fire, right?
I just got Kindle Fire and I have the same issue with Overdrive console. When I move to a new chapter it goes to the page with the same number that the last page of the chapter I just finished. E.g. if I'm on Page 5 of 5 and move to the new chapter, it will go to page 5 of 7 of the next chapter.
if you are at the end of the chapter, tap the bottom of screen and 6 icons will appear. tap the one that looks like a page with lines on it. you will be given choice for places in the book. tap on table of contents, turn page to chapters, select chapter one and you are at front of book.
It depends on the selection of your library. You can still read ePub books in your app but your need to autorize your app with an Adobe ID. Go to your Settings in your Overdrive app to create and authorize the app.
