This album is simply amazing. A gift for my mother for christmas, I couldn't help but give it a listen, and boy, was I surprised! With the exception of a few songs, this is a fantastic album with great songs and wonderful lyrics!

I was looking for something new for those days when I wasn't in the mood for choir or group music but still wanted gospel. I stumbled on this project today and instantly fell in love with it! The music, the lyrics, the vibe - I'm feeling it all. I've known of Damita Haddon ever since her days with Adoration & Praise but never gave too much attention to her solo endeavors. So glad I found this now. I find the songs refreshing and inspiring and will definitely be looking for more from this gifted woman of God!

Not too bad!! Not shabby at all!,

I had no idea who Damita was! I was actually surfing some reviews about Mary Mary when I came across her cd. I didn't know she even had released a cd (previously) 8 years ago. When I previewed the cd, I decided to give her a try. I listened to her cd, and I have to say...not too bad. She has a really nice voice! Her cd has a collection of different genres; she has a few songs with hip-hop, r&b, alternative, and even a song with a reggae feel to it! I was actually impressed with this cd and decided to put it on my ipod! Not too shabby Damita. I look forward to seeing what she does in the future...she may just have a dedicated listener from this point forward! LOL! The cd sounds pretty good and the best part is...it's gospel! Pretty good Damita!

OMG, what an amazing praise and worship CD...,

I thank God for the best in gospel-praise music I've been blessed to buy in the last month. It started with Mary, Mary (The Sound), moved to this Damita CD, and culminated with 21:03 (Total Attention). It all started when I missed church one Sunday and watched gospel on BET. I saw a Mary, Mary video (Man!), and saw an interview with Damita and her perform the title song from this CD.
What makes a praise and worship CD "good" to me is deeper than the vocal abilities of the singer. When I heard Damita speak on the show, I was impressed with her spirituality and relationship with the Lord. The song then was beautiful and she has a sweet voice. I liked the rhythm, etc. And I was able to connect with what Damita sang because I'd heard her interview. When I came to Amazon.com and listened to samples of all the songs on the CD, I knew it was a hit. I typically ignore "bad press" reviews, because I know people have different tastes in music. I am so glad I ignored the negative reviews of this CD. I consider finding this CD a treasure. The songs are sweet and soulful. Damita sings from her heart, and her words touch my heart. I just love it when people are not afraid to be themselves - warts and all - and sing praises to God like they mean it. Damita does that on this CD. I don't know much about her, but I can tell from her choice of songs that she has had some life experiences. How much better to reach the hearts of people than to have experienced the hard places yourself? I can definitely relate. If you like heartfelt, sincere, REAL praise and worship music - you won't go wrong with this CD. I thank God that Damita uses her talents to praise Him and share it with us who aren't quite as talented.

This is a great CD if you are into R&B, hip hop, and pop. I find it difficult to find good Christian hip hop & R&B music that doesn't sound corny (I don't mean this direspectufully). This is isn't the case with this CD! I really like it!!!

I won't make this long. I just want to say that this is one of the best gospel albums I have purchased this year. I like how Damita incorporates different sounds into each song. This album is very musically diverse but all about worship and praise. Great job!

Christian Music Missing / Least Used Name of JESUS our Resurrected Power!,
By Timothy A. Mason (Kent, Washington) - See all my reviews
This review is from: No Looking Back (Audio CD)
Christian music in general is missing one least used, but most powerful, and the main reason we are called Christians. Most songs, but not all are missing the main ingredient that will cause division. The entire world doesn't mind you saying the name God, or even Holy Spirit, but when the name of JESUS is mentioned, that is where they draw the line! Don't forget the most powerful, and respected name in this temporal natural, but especially the spiritual supernatural world. The name of JESUS is used as little as 1% is Christian music today. Don't forget where this all started, because without JESUS, this world would have been passed away / destroyed a long time ago. Thank you Lord JESUS for Your Sacrifice, Mercy, Love, and Power. I Love that Christian music is drawing people in, but don't forget the main Jesus ingredient. Message to the Writers; don't be afraid to write the name of Jesus in your music. Ask yourselves are you choosing to leave JESUS name out because it may affect sales, or popularity? If you opt for the two latter, then ask yourself, who do you really serve? Every song has room for the name of The Main Source JESUS, and not just at the beginning and the end so it can be easily edited out! God Bless, In JESUS name!Damita No Looking Back No Looking Back No Looking Back [Accompaniment/Performance Track]
