Love Found - Meet the New Jam!!!!, March 13, 2009
A friend of mine turned me onto this CD after he saw them open for Paul Weller. I waited quite a while before actually listening to this CD. In my case, although I respect his opinion, I am bombarded by so many mediocre bands that I felt "that why bother with yet another mediocre CD". Well, what a surprise this gem turned out to be. From the first track "She Got Standards" my attention was full-on throughout the entire CD. This CD is amazing. I will admit that The Rifles are heavily influenced by The Jam (one of the all-time great bands in music). However, this influence has helped the band craft a totally amazing CD. It is vibrant, alive - popping with melodies and hooks. If you are a fan of The Jam, or are just looking for a flower amoungst the debris of today's music, this CD is for you!!!
