Good. Very good. You Might As Well Buy It Now!,

Well, even though the first three songs are pretty stupid and sound like crap, this is a pretty fine achievement by Britains good ole boys, the Business. Even though they're in their 40s the band does better than bands half their age. You might wanna listen to the first three songs once, then from that point on skip to the fourth song and listen to the rest of the album and you should be satisfied. Have fun!

The Years Were Not Kind,
By
This review is from: No Mercy for You (Audio CD)
The Business has never been that great to begin with; the music was unimaginative, the lyrics were always designed to sound rebellious while always picking the safest and easiest targets and emptiest slogans, and Mickey Fitz sounded like a bum with the DTs even as a young guy. But still, you can throw on some older records and there's a certain undeniable energy. This is just self-parody though; the cover is a hoot if nothing else. What, was it inspired by Steve Whale swiping someone else's rice pudding at the old folks home and the cane fight that ensued? Were the lyrics written by an actual 14 year old, or just a middle aged man with the personality of one? Has anyone learned any new chords since 1983? If you're really aching to hear limeys playing catchy, anthemic pub-punk, do yourself a favor and pick up something by Cocksparrer.
