3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first book
I was disappointed with this book. If you read the first one "Drama Queen" you should skip this one. The second book was unnecessary. She tries to go back to change characters in the second book and bring one back from the dead in the first. I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did the first one.

No More Drama....Tobias, and Terrell Sims brothers who we met in Drama Queen prove that sometimes the situation seems so BLEAK, but TIME HEALS ALL...there is no problem too BIG, or a PERSON too small that can't be reconciled after time. "TIME AFTER TIME"

DJ Terror (Tobias Sims) has declared his love for Roni (Veronica Black) an ex player like himself. As he goes all out for this extensive proposal he finds that the year he and Roni have shared has been about lies, and secrets. Can this relationship be repaired? Does the past have something to say about that?

God Pimp Terrell "so many women, not enough time" is tangling himself with all of the (((BAD GIRLS))) in this Drama Series. You have to experience loss in order to appreciate what you have. Terrell isn't father or husband material, but he wants to be. As Nicole finally banishes Terrell he learns to refocus, and all of the DRAMA that has ensued him seems to be in full effect no matter how hard he tries to rededicate himself. What else can happen as Terrell tries to set things straight?

Anjelica MIS-UN-DER-STOOD in the beginning it was declared that she was A WHORE! But as the series takes on form, you see her evolve into a person, and see that her explanations are reaching, but it's very practical! Usually there's always one in the crowd, who everyone hates based on one person's opinion. But who's the better person...the one who's shouting, or the one not responding? (Am I my sister's keeper?)

Isis cold as ice BABY... sister gurl can sing, she has this guard that penetrates seekers of her heart cause she's so drenched in remorse. Can she FINALLY let go and forgive herself to receive her "TRUE LOVE?"

Although Kayla played the starring role in DRAMA QUEEN, here in NO MORE DRAMA she was mixed among the supporting cast. I don't know that her presence was well accepted, but I did see the connection. It might not have been MAJOR like you DQ fans wanted, BUT she (La Jill) put it there.

I won't front I love La Jill's DISTINCTIVE FORM, as well as the FINESSE she uses, but like the rest of the reviewers I did think that it lost it's eminence. I think mainly because we were all DYING cause we wanted to know what happened...It's there just not as the main focus.

La Jill it's cool because I'm waiting for the DRAMA cause with all those dysfunctional characters and the loose ends the DRAMA NEVER ENDS.........(I'm going to have to get a patent for that)

Oh and the old school mixes, I WAS SO FEELING THOSE....

5.0 out of 5 stars My cuz has done it again!!!, December 30, 2004
This review is from: No More Drama (Paperback)
Once again, she has done it. Starting where the story left off for Ms. Kayla's best friend (and of course baby Day's "godpimp"), Terrell Sims, and further introducing his brother, DJ Terror (aka Toby), this book is full of the drama that we love. It also gives us a closer look at Kayla's sis, Angelica, and why she is that way she is and introducing some new characters who help to heat up things. This book was an EXCELLENT read from beginning to end. I hope there is more to come from the way the book ended. And to my cousin, CONGRATS again on another job well done. Keep up the good "drama". Can't wait for the next one!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The DQ Returns!!!, January 26, 2005
This review is from: No More Drama (Paperback)
Okay, I have to admit, I was a little skeptical when it came to reading No More Drama. First of all, because Drama Queen was such a damn good book, I figured Lajill Hunt couldn't top it. Secondly, because most sequels are corny. But I was wrong on both accounts. No More Drama was OFF DA CHAIN!!! I loved the fact that she took the story in an entirely different direction regarding the other characters we got to know in Drama Queen. That being said, I have no doubt that there will be a third installment and this time, there's no skepticism because Ms. Hunt has proven her talents. I can't wait until her next book drops. Now, regarding the previous reviewer...I don't think Ms. Hunt is a Christian Fiction author whose goal was to win souls with this book, but in reading it, I did get a message. The storyline involving Toby/Isis/Roni proved that where God closes one door, he always opens a window. As a matter of fact, I think Isis said it best when she let it be known that, "Man's rejection is God's protection." I also don't believe that this author should be compared to the likes of WEBER (check your spelling) who is an accomplished best-seller or the other Christian Fiction author you "attempted" to compare her to. Lajill Hunt has her own style and I don't think she is trying to be like anyone else. Kudos Ms. Hunt and don't let the "Holier than thou" haters get you down. You got the drama lovers behind you 150% so keep doing your thang!!! (Kisha, age 19)

4.0 out of 5 stars Talk About Drama, January 23, 2005

This review is from: No More Drama (Paperback)
Hailed the Drama Queen, La Jill Hunt returns with another enticing tale filled with drama, drama and more drama.

Terrell Sims is back with a new love, a new job and a new outlook on life. All is well until he receives some devastating news that leaves a bitter taste behind. Knowing that he could very well lose the love of his life, Terrell devises a plan to rectify the problem. Eventually, the little predicament, which he thought was non-existent, catches up with him.

Terrell's brother, Toby is also suffering from a bad case of drama when he finds out the woman to whom he has pledged his undying love is cheating on him. Will Terrell and Toby overcome the obstacles they face and find everlasting love?

NO MORE DRAMA was such a captivating novel that I couldn't put it down. I read this book in a few hours. Filled with so many characters and a lot of drama, I was waiting for the inevitable mistakes to occur. However, I was proved wrong because this novel flowed well from one chapter to the next. I am looking forward to reading Ms. Hunt's next contribution to the literary community.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reminds Me Of Why I Read, January 4, 2005
This review is from: No More Drama (Paperback)
This book reminds me why I read. Who needs a bunch of drama filled friends when I can just read it in a book without the hassle. This book and it's characters took me through many emotions. Veronica Black was a mess, she had a wonderful man and didn't realize it.(Which was sad). And Mr.Player, Godpimp Terrel's head was spinning. Kayla was the only one wth minimal drama. A new character was introduced to add more spice to this book and her name is Isis Adams AKA ICE. She gives new meaning to the word classy. I can't end this review without talking about trifling butt Darla, whom without this book would have no drama. All I can say is go out and buy this book it is well worth your dough. So would I buy a blouse or this book and I would say to you any day this BOOK.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much better!!!!, November 21, 2004
This review is from: No More Drama (Paperback)
I see growth and maturity in this author, the storyline was great minus all the foul and ghetto lanuage, that can be found in her first book. The book was full of drama the last few chapters were so action filled. It almost seems as if there has to be a 3rd part to the story. Even if its not she has done a great job.

5.0 out of 5 stars She's back with the drama!, November 9, 2004

Sydney (Dallas, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: No More Drama (Paperback)
I became a LaJill Hunt fan when I read Drama Queen and I couldn't wait for the sequel to come out. I must admit, I did prefer the first book, but I knew it would be hard to top. But even still, LaJill did not disappoint and I loved No More Drama!! To me, a book is the bomb if it's a page turner and hard to put down and No More Drama was all that. I read it in one day. So, by it's own standards (not by Drama Queen's standards), and compared to some of the other blase books I've read these days, No More Drama is a hit!! Continue cranking them out Ms Hunt and I'll continue to buy them. I can honestly say that I am a true fan!!
