About the Author
MARY BAKALIAN first taught good body mechanics when she taught ballroom dancing at Arthur Murrays. To solve her pupils balance problems, she applied techniques distilled from her studies of Anatomy, Kinesiology, Neuromuscular Re-education, and Breathing Coordination. She founded the first co-ed exercise program at New Yorks West Side YMCA and taught classes in Pain Reduction Through Relaxation at Citibank, McGraw-Hill, and Time. While on staff at the Alberto Delgado Fitness Center, she helped rehabilitate walking wounded physical trainers whose knees hurt from misusing their feet. The techniques she offers in NO MORE FOOT PAIN have brought relief to countless people by correcting the way they stand and walk.
