Editorial Reviews

Review

"No More Play joins a long list of books that try to dissect the LA condition, but is unique among them because it relies almost exclusively on its contributor's personal opinions. In a culture that strives to be post-critical and ahistorical, anyone can become an automatic authority."
-Robert Sumrell for Domus Magazine

"Best of Architecture 2011 - Architect Michael Maltzan interviewed architects, academics, artists and writers for this nuanced, surprisingly upbeat portrait of Los Angeles, where rising density has brought the city to a "pivotal moment" in which "L.A.'s new identity is being determined." -LA Times, Christopher Hawthorne

excellent compilation from Maltzan whose presence in the design world is everyday more and more visible. The fantastic photos by Iwan Baan are a perfect compliment to the mismatched but fascinating review about LA.
