Tell me I'm a sinner...,

This review is from: No More Tears (Audio CD)
Ozzy Osbourne entered his second decade as a solo artist and third overall with an undisputed triumph and the multi-platinum selling `No More Tears'. I don't think he's made a better record after the two Randy Rhoads classics than this absolute barnstormed that proved at least temporarily that there was still a market for traditional heavy metal during the grunge era. Without the ridiculously heavy guitar riffing courtesy of Zakk Wylde the record might have been seen as just another hair metal record by an aging artist but Wylde puts those thoughts to shame here. Not that there aren't melodic tunes of the power ballad variety here and they are some of the best that the genre has to offer - "Mama", "Road to Nowhere" and "Time After Time" - all featuring autobiographic lyrics with melancholy and a certain road weariness that suits Ozzy perfectly. The title track is a behemoth, a true epic not seen since the days of `Diary of a Madman'. It's a track that builds and climaxes and then builds again and it could easily be one of the greatest songs from this era. "I Don't Wanna Change the World" and "Mr. Tinkertrain" are classic metal stompers and righteously kick the album off in a flurry of metal insanity. There are as many moods here as songs and `No More Tears' could also be the Oz's most diverse album as well. Whether or not his work over the last twenty years or so has been consistent or overshadowed by the TV show or Sharon's celebrity there is no denying that with the proper cohorts (including Lemmy and future Alice In Chains bassist Mike Inez) Ozzy can make heavy metal of the highest caliber..

This album came out of no where. I loved No Rest For the Wicked but understood why others thought it was a little weak. Then this gets released and it has just monster hits on it. This was one of the greatest hard rock/metal albums released in its time period. People are in love with his older solo stuff which I understand but this stands right up there with any of them. This is my favorite Ozzy album followed by No Rest For the Wicked.

Masterpiece,
This review is from: No More Tears (Audio CD)
After the first two cds with Randy Rhoads, Blizzard, and Diary this is Ozzy's best cd. Every song is a classic. Zakk jams as always. Ozzy sings great. After this cd, Ozzy went on his "No More Tours" Tour, which I saw. That tour brought us the "Live and Loud" cd and dvd.
Ozzy has not had a recent album as good as this one. A masterpiece.

Greatest Ozzy Album Ever!,

This review is from: No More Tears (Audio CD)
I rank this in my top 10 greatest albums of all time. One of those CDs that I can listen to straight through without skipping a single song. Eleven tracks of euphonic bliss. It's a perfect mix of rockers, ballads, and mid-tempo songs, and not a bad apple in the bunch.
It took two albums (the first was the mediocre 'No Rest for the Wicked') for the dynamic duo of Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde to click and create this masterpiece. Both Ozzy and Zakk were at the top of their game (Ozzy's been there once before in the late sixties/early seventies with Black Sabbath). Ozzy's vocals are better than usual and Zakk lays down some tasty guitar riffs and blistering solos (e.g. the two solos on track six: 'S.I.N.'). Zakk was still developing his signature pinch harmonics at this time and thankfully they are used to perfection (as opposed to some of his latest recordings). Anybody who is a fan of Ozzy or Zakk Wylde (one of the greatest guitarists ever) or hard rock music should own this album. Not one bad song!

NO MORE ALBUMS LIKE THIS FROM OZZY,

I think this album shows Ozzy at his best level yet is not his best album it is a classic like Blizzard of Oz or DOAM although not made along with Randy Rhoads , Zakk Wylde shows a new aspect and a different sound for Metal Guitar and I believe this album comes to be the last Great Ozzy Osbourne, and the one thing to remark is the fact that Mr. Wylde dares to mix 2 very different sorts of music such as Metal and Country, by the way, on this album Robert Trujillo makes no appearance, its Mr, Mike Inez who makes tunes like No More Tears and their amazing bass lines possible. For the late Randy Castillo, thats true, the last Randy Castillo's studio album with Oz.
Considering Ozzy osbourne is now a complete muppet and nothing else but a bad joke, this album is a must have for any new fan.

HELLRAISER!!!!!!!!!!!!,

This album is easily by far the greatest album Ozzy Osbourne has ever recorded. Unfortuanely "No More Tears" won't get the acclaim as say "The Blizzard of Oz" being that heavy metal was losing steam when this album was released."No More Tears" features Zakk Wylde on guitars, Robert Trujillo on bass, the late Randy Cadtillo on drums, and of course Ozzy Osbourne on vocals. Excellent songs such as No more Tears,Hellraiser, and Road to Nowhere make this album a no brainer to own for any Ozzy fan.
