This book left me breathless. As I looked at the book I thought it would be a typical book that I could zoom through. This book deals with the four letter word. Yes, love.Love that is strong, fearless, boundless, and scared to death of what might happen if it allows itself to experience just that, love.Mr. Lofton definately is a force to be reckoned with in the writing world. He has definately let me know that he can deal with issues in a raw & intimate way and yet e possess the class of a writer that has been around for years. This is an awesome read for not only the straight, gay, or bi person. But for all people.Just check it out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing., April 8, 2011

Most of the other reviews have expressed many of the same praises I have for this novel. So I will agree whole-heatedly.

Being a gay male who has searched my whole life for love, has lived in DC and who is now positive, this story, it's characters, and it's honesty and accuracy touched me to my soul. I have honestly never read a gay story that was so intense, so real and so beautiful.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is gay, who is positive...or who wants to know what it is like to live in their shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Celebration of Life..., July 20, 2009
This review is from: No More Tomorrows: Two Lives, Two Stories, One Love (Zane Presents) (Paperback)
Twenty years have passed since the day Mark Jones heard the words that would forever change his life. "You have tested HIV antibody positive." For years since that day he tried to prepare himself to die...only to wake up one day to realize it was just a diagnosis and not a death sentence. So to celebrate twenty years of "living" he decided to throw himself a "Celebration of Life" party. Inviting all his closet friends and family to celebrate another year of life. There he meets Kevin Williams and this is where the story really begins.

NO MORE TOMORROWS is a beautifully written story of two gay men and the love they have for one another. It delves into the lives of each man and each man tells their side of the story.
It makes you ask the questions:
What would you do if the person you loved was diagnosed with HIV? Would you stay or would you walk away?

NO MORE TOMORROWS was such an emotional and compelling read. Any biases you may have toward this subject should be erased after reading this novel. It was tastefully and beautifully written. There have only been two books in my life that can recall that I actually shed tears after reading and this book was one of them. So when that other person that you are intimate with tries to convince you not to use protection and you think for that split second and in the heat of the moment...that "I'm being monogamous so what is the harm"...well the harm is you DO NOT really know if they are being monogamous. It does not matter what sexual orientation you are...AIDS can infect anyone.

NO MORE TOMORROWS would make for an excellent Lifetime movie. This by far is the best book I have ever read. I would definitely recommend this novel to all walks of life.

I finished reading this book last night and this was a very beautiful story. I can see this story on film. This book had me emotional from happy to sad etc. Is this a true story? if not I am sure this story has happened in life. Thanks Rodney Lofton for a great, sincere, loving book. You are now one of my favorite writers and I look forward to your next book. The Day I stopped being Pretty was a great book too. Thanks and Stay Blessed.

No More Tomorrows should be read like a guide book on loving. This book describes the committment, love, and learning process of two people who have dedicated their lives to one another. It doesn't matter your sexual preference this is the way in which two people should love under any circumstances.

5.0 out of 5 stars Boundless Love, February 14, 2010
This review is from: No More Tomorrows: Two Lives, Two Stories, One Love (Zane Presents) (Paperback)
With a diagnosis of HIV, Mark Jones chose to get busy living rather than get busy dying. With tomorrow not promised, he celebrated his today with a Celebration of Life party. It's at that party that he met Kevin Williams, who would become the love of his life. "No More Tomorrows" chronicles that relationship.

While not the ideal situation or love story, Rodney Lofton does an excellent job with his poignant depiction. This emotional novel is both tough to read yet easy to believe. Skillfully written, "No More Tomorrows" is easily recommendable.

Rodney has written one of the most touching and impressive stories I've read in a long time. It's telling impacted me and left me feeling good even though the subject matter is one we might not want to think about, the end of love and dying. But then again, is it? As the saying goes, Death is not the end, but a true beginning. No More Tomorrows focuses on the meeting and struggles of two men, Kevin and Mark, who just want to be loved and give love in return. Starting at the ending, winding through the beginning, and to the end again, our tale opens up discussion long overdue in the Black Community when it comes to love between two souls, especially when one individual is HIV positive. Meeting someone is never an easy task, never quite what it seems. Add to the situation the person you meet is HIV positive, stir in a bit of stubborn masculine pride, a pinch of fear, and heap of soul-embracing, and there you have No More Tomorrows.

Set in my hometown of Washington, DC, Rodney had me smiling as he described settings and places very familiar to me; loved the homecoming feeling I got reading No More Tomorrows. Both characters are just your typical normal brothers, no glitter, or glam, just two individuals most of us can identify with. Guys who could be very well be included in our own circle of friends. You'll love both of 'em. You might find yourself agitated at Kevin's stupidity fighting what he truly wants (the hopeless romantic in me did). Or perhaps you'll cringe at the hurtful path Kevin had to endure to become the man he is. But you will FEEL these two. Understand them. Know them. Even cherish them by book's end.

Overall, I enjoyed this book from start to finish. Not to be cliche, but I laughed, I cried, it EASILY became a part of me. Indeed. You'll celebrate as he shares the men falling in love and growing in union. Rodney Lofton is quickly becoming my favorite writer with sharing this tale of the heart. Love, even in the midst of hardship, is a revolutionary thing. Written with so much realness, I couldn't put No More Tomorrows down.

I celebrate Rodney Lofton's talent and encourage everyone to read this book!!! Buy this book. Buy this book. Buy this book. I can't say it enough, buy this book! I've got nothing but the utmost praise for Rodney Lofton. His story was a compelling piece of fiction. Please do yourself the favor. Once you do, you'll understand what I'm saying...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Love Story I've Ever Read, January 11, 2010
This review is from: No More Tomorrows: Two Lives, Two Stories, One Love (Zane Presents) (Paperback)
By Far Rodney Lofton's No More Tomorrows is the best love story that I have ever read. From the first page of this book I knew this would be one that I would not want to put down. This book is worth the money you'll spend on it and it will leave a deep impression and make you re evaluate what true love really is. I like the fact that like E Lynn Rodney is able to draw a mental picture and take you inside this book and make you become the characters. I would also advise you to check out The Day I Stopped Being Pretty I've read clips of it and the feedback I've gotten from friends also confirms it's a winner too. Thanks Rodney for keeping it real and keep up the good work!

This review is from: No More Tomorrows: Two Lives, Two Stories, One Love (Zane Presents) (Paperback)
No More Tomorrows was excellent. The relationship between the two was a great love story the was very real. Rodney Lofton did not end the story with a fairy tale ending, but with an ending that was reality based. It was a phenomenal book and I look forward to reading his future books.
