My 3 year old son adores this book!! It's probably his favorite. We renewed it over and over again until finally I ordered it. It is a very cute, funny book and I can certainly related to the frazzled daddy who falls asleep in his exhausting attempts to get Susie to finally take her nap.

The cover of this book shows a very grumpy little girl, but once you get inside the book it's really not that way at all. Sure, she doesn't want to nap, but it's actually pretty funny. Ok, NOT the book to read when you are trying to get your daughter to sleep, but my 3 year old loved this book once she stopped taking naps. Especially if you put a little drama into the reading of it, my kids thought it was hysterical the first few times I read it to them. What I really like is it's all about a dad trying to put his daughter Susie down for a nap while the mom is out, which is course can be difficult if she's used to her mom having that role. But the dad never gets flustered or angry, just tries lots of different things with her including taking her for a walk, playing with her in her room, etc. Eventually, it's the DAD who ends up falling asleep. Really, a nice book.

This book is so fun to read and a 2-3 year old can get involved in reading it with you. Your child will enjoy it - because every child understands what "no nap" means. Children will love this book and ask for it over and over.
