Book Description

THE # 1 BEST-SELLING ROMANTIC COMEDY

NO-ONE EVER HAS SEX ON A TUESDAY was so funny! Tracy Bloom has done a fantastic job of writing this book, and creating so many humourous moments in her writing. Throughout the story I was bursting out with laughter, and on more than one occasion I was asked by others what was so hilarious! - Megan Reading in the Sunshine (Amazon Top 500 Reviewer)

I utterly adored this book. It's extremely funny and has your eyes bulging out in excitement waiting for the next page. It is full of every day problems that we all face and has some seriously amazing twists in. It's emotional in every different way possible and really will have you not wanting to put it down. - Pyjama Book Girl

Never has a one-night stand led to such chaos!

Childhood sweethearts Matthew and Katy agree they must never see each other again after they end up in bed together following a school re-union.
So all is forgotten... until eight months later when a shock meeting at an antenatal class forces them to confront the fact that Matthew could be the father of Katy's baby. Oblivious to the mayhem unfolding, Matthew's highly-strung wife frets over giving birth to twins and Katy’s much younger boyfriend refuses to take fatherhood seriously.

Love and life are messy but Katy and Matthew take things to a whole new level as deep emotions begin to resurface and hormones run riot.

How will they navigate their way through this almighty cock-up?

About the Author

Tracy Bloom started writing when her cruel, heartless husband ripped her away from her dream job shopping for rollercoasters for the UK's leading theme parks, to live in America with a brand new baby and no mates. In a cunning plan to avoid domestic duties and people who didn't understand her Derbyshire accent, she wrote NO-ONE EVER HAS SEX ON A TUESDAY. It went on to be successfully published internationally so now she is chuffed to bits to have a new dream job, making people laugh and sometimes cry through her writing. Back in good old England now and cracking on with writing about other people who screw up their lives in a hilarious fashion including a sequel, NO-ONE EVER HAS SEX AFTER A BABY.

4.0 out of 5 stars Won over with Wit & Humor July 2, 2013
Format:Paperback
I enjoyed reading No-One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday. Tracy Bloom had me entertained with wit and humor. This took me longer to read than normal as I had some stuff going on that came up but it was a fast paced story nonetheless. This is the story of Katy Chapman who didn't expect to walk into a pre-natal class at 8 months pregnant to find her ex-boyfriend there with his extremely pregnant wife. She hadn't seen him since they slept together about 8 months prior after a school reunion. She then realizes that it's possible that her ex-boyfriend Matthew could be the father of her child.

Katy, 36, hadn't planned on getting pregnant - in fact it was the very last thing in her plan. Her boyfriend Ben is a number of years younger than her. He is a gym teacher who makes inappropriate jokes at every opportunity that he gets. He's not really the person she had pictured spending her life with, but then again, she hasn't pictured spending her life with anyone since things ended with Matthew, her childhood sweetheart. He broke her heart when they both started university.

I liked Katy, and felt that she was someone I could easily be friends with if she were a real person. She has some weaknesses as a person with her decision making, but who doesn't, and that made her real & likeable. Ben, Katy's boyfriend and possible father of her child, I didn't like at first, but in the end, he grew on me with the way he twisted everything around to try to make things right to Katy. I won't give away the details, or it'll ruin the book for you, but Ben, even though he was younger than Katy, proved that younger men can be suitable boyfriends/lovers/fathers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good job the title is catchy August 14, 2013
Format:Paperback
This book made me cringe. The main plot is certainly not what I would find funny. In places the text was so repetitive it was embarrassing. I think my main problem was that 'the wife' was completely unaware of what was going on whilst we are subjected to his plans to leave her! Certainly not something that should be amusing. I think that the sales are coming from the clever title - the best part of the book!!

OK for easy summer reading. But very predictable and not that funny. The characters in the book are somewhat clicheed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible! July 31, 2013

Format:Kindle Edition
I obviously misread previous reviews on this book! I thought it was a waste of time reading! There was no character development and not much substance for a plot. It had no humor at all! The only thing that was "very funny" was that I was a fool that bought this book! Don't waste your time reading this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars A FUN READ! June 19, 2013
Format:Paperback
Katy was not looking for a relationship. That was when she found one. She was still hurting from a traumatic high school break-up that left her not trusting men. She wanted to have the guy attitude, just hang out and have a friend with benefits. All was well until the dreaded high school reunion that lead into a one night stand with Matthew the ex. Katy tried to forget about Matthew the ex-boyfriend, but was reminded of him when she found out she was pregnant. All was well for Kate and her out of sight out of mind way of thinking, until Matthew showed up at her lamaze class with his very pregnant wife.

This story was a cute, funny story and it had me rootng for the underdog. I enjoyed this book and would recommend for a fun read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely loved it! June 10, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Firstly I'd like to thank the author for sending me this eBook to read and give an honest review. I had originally seen a review for this book on Reading In The Sunshine and thought it sounded like something I would enjoy so when the author contacted me to ask if I would like a copy I jumped at the chance!

Within the first few pages I was already laughing out loud and this continued throughout, it definitely contained my kind of humour. Katy's boyfriend Ben was quite a bit younger than her and while she enjoyed his playful behaviour, it sometimes grated on her. I absolutely loved his inappropriate comments especially during the antenatal classes, it was so entertaining and I couldn't stop laughing as I pictured the scene in my mind.

I liked Katy, she didn't always make the best decisions but I felt that her heart was always in the right place. Her gay friend Daniel had to be my favourite character because he was just so funny, the author had written him in such a way that it was impossible not to visualise his over the top behaviour and that made it even more amusing for me. I changed my opinion on Matthew many times throughout the book, there were times that I liked him and times when I wanted to throttle him!

There were so many fun parts, some of my favourite moments included: Ben's logic on why no-one ever had sex on a Tuesday, the school reunion, scenes involving a stuffed puffin, an awkward dinner party, a hilarious telephone conversation between Daniel and a guy named Braindead (also a very funny character) and finally Katy going into labour (I was crying with laughter over the events that followed).
