4.0 out of 5 stars Locust - No-One In The World, May 5, 2011
This review is from: No-One in the World (Audio CD)
On this second disc of _No-one in the World_ remixes, Slacker brings his progressive trance influence to bear in his "In Slacker's Universe Master Mix," establishing a glittery foundation for the beats. Then, a little past halfway, the track transitions into a more traditional club trance synth line. Moving Shadow head honcho Rob Playford offers up dreamy breaks with his "Timecode Remix," starting the track on an ambient tip before the horns and beats kick in. It's a surprisingly mellow mix, and all the more lovely for it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Locust - No-One In The World, May 5, 2011
This review is from: No-One In The World [Yellow Cover] (Audio CD)
How many singles does a good track deserve? For Locust's _No-one in the World_, the answer is at least three. This version collects the lovely version that appears on his _Morning Light_ album, as well as the various "original" mixes that appeared way back in 1993. The "Third Summer After mix" introduces some electronic growl and fast breaks, while the "D. S. P. mix" coasts on its rhythm, carefully and sparsely placed. The "Original W.F.O. mix" is a minor ambient masterpiece, drifting on the vocals as the rhythm and the layers of sound slowly filter in. What more could you want? More mixes? Well, that's coming right up...
