Cute Movie Tie In for Beginning Readers,
By Lynn Ellingwood "The ESOL Teacher" (Webster, NY United States) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: No Ordinary Mouse (The Tale of Despereaux) (Paperback)
This is a cute movie tie in book for beginning readers. I teach ESOL students and believe that this book will intrigue some of my beginning readers. It has nice pictures and I bet the movie is good.

Nice story flow,
By Alix (Westboro, MA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: No Ordinary Mouse (The Tale of Despereaux) (Paperback)
The flow of the story is nice in this book. It doesn't flow exactly like the movie but that is unimportant as the story is still communicated easily and nicely here. If you like Despereaux, this would be a good short book to have that covers that main story. I wish there were more pictures because they did a good job selecting the pictures.

This review is from: No Ordinary Mouse (The Tale of Despereaux) (Paperback)
This was my grandson's first exposure to comic books as it took the movie he'd seen, and the story he'd had as a read aloud and put it in another form. He curled up on the couch and read it cover to cover in an evening. The author did a nice job catching the action of the story and the illustrations are enchanting.
