In the past I have enjoyed reading Ms. Hodges' work. 'No other lover will do' simply WON'T do for me. This story once again is about two beautiful people coming together, at first Kandace says no to Solomon but after he buys her a designer dress, a pair of Manolos and a very expensive dinner - Kandace decides to have sex with Solomon after they play in the snow...

Cheris Hodges does it again in this third book in the series featuring "Let's Get It On" and "Betting On Love". This book is an excellent read that is definitely a page turner. "No Other Lover Will Do" features hotel mogul playboy Solomon Crawford. Solomon is a good looking rich conceded arrogant womanizer who has never heard the word no. He has no desire to ever spend more than one night with any woman and he doesn't believe in fidelity and love. On a trip to his newest hotel "Carolina Serenity" he meets Kandace Davis a beautiful career focused business owner who is overworked and has experienced heartbreak in the past and vows never to experience it again. For the first time in Solomon's life he has met a woman who doesn't care about his money status or him. Solomon is determined to do whatever it takes to get Kandace. When she finally decides to give him a try this book gets HOT and heavy. While Solomon and Kandace discover each other, Carmen De La Croix is obsessing about how to put an end to this relationship. Carmen is Solomon's business partner and only female friend. She has loved Solomon for years and is determined not to let Kandace have him.

This book is an awesome read. The storyline is romantic yet suspenseful. You will be on the edge of your seats from the suspense and looking for your special someone after reading the love scenes. Having read the pervious two books in the series, I loved how Cheris Hodges incorporated the characters from the previous novel into to this one. This book is worth your time and effort. It is awesome.

No Other Lover Will Do

Solomon Crawford of Crawford Hotel is Tall, Sexy, and handsome and he knows this. Solomon has confident and he is just damn good in and out of bed. Kandace Davis we meet in "Betting on Love" you remember the four DIVAS that what they are. Kandace is sent on vacation because all she do is eat, sleep her job so the Divas got together and decided that girl friend need a vacation...........so Kandace made reservation a this new resort in the Mountain with lots, lots, of snow. The Crawford resort.

Solomon thinks that he can get any woman he want and he can but when he meet Kandace he realize that he will have to work to get this woman to even notice and spend some time with him. Solomon doesn't make it easy for Kandace to ignore him he is in her face at every turn until she finally consents to having dinner with him.

Solomon realize that just one night with Kandace will not be enough and while getting to know each other the REAL person come out. They each have been hurt and instead on embracing love they have built a wall to protect there heart. They each slowly began to let the other in and boy when they do it is no stopping them.

You will enjoy catching up with the Goings and the Divas from "Betting on Love" this is a great love story and you enjoy Solomon & Kandace journey. Can't wait for the next book but in the mean time read the book and enjoy.

Smooches

4.0 out of 5 stars Too Much Sex...Other than that, May 30, 2010

It was a great love story!

My question is that after Solomon was shot, why wasn't his brother, Raymond notified? Raymond was one of the characters in the book and it strikes me that the author didn't mention Raymond after Solomon was shot. In fact, you never heard about Raymond again after he was advised to fire Carmen.

The sex scenes was a little too much for my likings. It seems that that's all Solomon and Kandance did was screw.

Overall, it was a good read and I would recommend the book.

Hello all I usually don't write reviews but this book demands one. It has suspense, hot love scenes and the characters are realistic! I loved the back and forth banter between Solomon and Kandace and their journey to discovering true love. This book is definitely a MUST READ!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars ok read, September 19, 2010

I thought this was listed as IR,until I started reading the story and thought this guy is pretty bold stalking the woman like this. But have to say she gave him a run for his money. Solomon and his brother, Richard, need therapy, badly--they were just too nasty to one another. I could not understand why Solomon would talk so bad about the women he slept with to Carmen w/o asking himself why would she allow him to denigrate women like this. When his friend died, Solomon was slow to catch on and didn't seem to care much. Also couldn't understand why a multi-million dollar company did not already have a background checking system in place when resort security had to be top-notch. Solomon came across as immature and rather slow for a CEO. I thought the woman should have forgot about the condoms and just wrapped herself up in some saran wrap for protection where this guy was concerned.

It doesn't hurt that Solomon is rich, good looking and has a great personality either....Oh course the sex scenes ae great...in a predictable story such as this - it better be!

The villian in this story is Carmen - yes she is obsessed in a very deadly way - Carmen keeps this story going; if it were not for Carmen's character - this story would be a total waste.

It is time for authors to keep it real, Kandace said no to Solomon but a dress, shoes and a dinner later and Kandace opens her legs and her heart for the rich, handsome and misunderstood Solomon = PREDICTABLE!!!!

This alos sends the wrong message out to readers.

Publishers - lets also keep the book covers real enough to match the characters in the story. The cover of this book does not match Kandace nor Solomon at all!
