Do yourself a favor!
I knew from the first moments of this album that I would love it, and I have few musical pleasures greater than putting it on once again. The beginning is all dense atmosphere. Though No P. or D. is quite short it's never rushed, developing at its own steady, sure pace, adding new elements when the time is right. Ms. John Soda - No P. Or D.
Ms. John Soda's debut album, _No P or D_, is a pleasantly mellow slice of post-rock electronic pop, a sort of specialty of Morr Music. Although the opening track "Technicolor" starts out almost purely abstract, it eventually coalesces halfway through. "Go Check" has a perkiness that shifts into an indie rock groove (a vigor that returns with "Unsleeping"), while "Solid...

Do yourself a favor!, March 13, 2005
This review is from: No P. Or D. (Audio CD)
I knew from the first moments of this album that I would love it, and I have few musical pleasures greater than putting it on once again. The beginning is all dense atmosphere. Though No P. or D. is quite short it's never rushed, developing at its own steady, sure pace, adding new elements when the time is right. The end result is a gorgeously thick, luxurious sound which the lyrics cut through and ride above. Guilty parties Couch keyboardist Stefanie Bohm and Notwist bassist Micha Acher have created something exceptional with these songs. They've managed to produce something that is catchy and moody at the same time, full of momentum and full of brooding all at once. The simple fact that at 8 songs the album doesn't seem under-developed testifies to the acheivement - and each of those 8 being a gem isn't bad either.

Ms. John Soda - No P. Or D., April 27, 2011

Ms. John Soda's debut album, _No P or D_, is a pleasantly mellow slice of post-rock electronic pop, a sort of specialty of Morr Music. Although the opening track "Technicolor" starts out almost purely abstract, it eventually coalesces halfway through. "Go Check" has a perkiness that shifts into an indie rock groove (a vigor that returns with "Unsleeping"), while "Solid Ground" flits around with some simple piano keys and pizzicatos. "Elusive" takes the album out on a strong note, the melody rich and delicate. Solid, if ultimately unremarkable.
