No Place So Far So Good!,
By
This review is from: No Place So Far (Audio CD)
This is the first CD I've heard of Erin's. I found out about it from my Campus Life magazine, and me and my friend went to a Christian store one day and she bought it. I was only able to buy one CD, so I bought "Free to Fly" ( Point of Grace) and she bought "No Place So Far". She lent me her CD collection while she's out of town, and No Place So Far cannot spinning in my CD player! Oh my gosh it is SO good. The messages she conveys in her song are so good, and just the way she sings them...she's not TOO adult, but not totally childish. Everyone can relate to her songs. If you dont have this CD, or dont know someone who has it that you can borrow it off of ( hehe) I recommend u get it!

This is the best CD from Erin. It contains 'No Place So Far' and 'Hold on to Jesus' which are some of my favorite songs and have been played on the radio. The CD is spirtually uplifting and incorporates the best from Erin.

I bought this CD mostly because of "No Place So Far" which has gotten alot of radio play and because this CD is getting high praise from other reviewers. I was pleasantly surprised that, despite the fact that the musical style is a little too popish for my normal tastes, I really, really like this CD. Lyrically, this CD is very good. Erin and Brad O'Donnell are clearly very gifted song writers and their talents are particularly evident on songs like "Only You" and "Hold On To Jesus." In addition, Erin's voice is remarkable and although I really liked it on "No Place So Far" she sounds better on some of the other songs on the CD. I suspect I'll be listening to this CD for quite some time.

The Best Yet!,

I didn't think they could pull it off! With the Lords guidance, and inspiration from family and friends not to mention their beautiful daughter(Quinn), Erin and Brad have managed to out perform themselves once again. No Place So Far is a beautiful work of art. Erin's passion is so profound, you have to add this one to your collection!

A great comeback by a great artist!,
This review is from: No Place So Far (Audio CD)
After coming out with her stellar debut "A Scrapbook Of Sorts" and the moderately successful "Scratching The Surface", Erin comes back better than ever with "No Place So Far"...The opener "Janie's Garden" is a quirky pop song about having a secret place to talk to God. The title track, definitely the best song on the album, is a bold statement that God's grace is waiting there for us, no matter what we do. "There You Are" is by far the most upbeat track on the album, electric guitars and all...However, it's the slower songs that are more lyrically profound, like "No Place So Far", "Hold On To Jesus" (written for Quinn), and "Damaged Goods". Overall, "No Place So Far" is a terrific album - fans of Erin's previous albums and other listeners will not be leftdisappointed!

Another amazing record from Erin O'Donnell,

I'll be honest: I've sort of had it with much of Christian Contemporary (or whatever it's called) music. A big chunk of it is pretty trite and doesn't seem to talk about anything relevant to my life. On the other hand, there's Erin O'Donnell. Once again, she's put out a record that stands apart from pretty much anything else out there and talks about life - yes _real_ life - as an adult Christian, instead of yet another record written for the local youth group. The songs are brilliant, the production is fantastic, and the performances are breathtaking.Buy it. Just buy it.

Erin continues to impress!,

Erin O'Donnell, now with a new label, continues to impress on her third album. Those familiar with Erin will not be disappointed as she once again comes through with strong material, a drop-dead voice and meaningful lyrics. Those who have not heard Erin before really need to give her a try - you won't be disappointed! All the songs are written by Erin's husband Brad (some are co-authored by Erin) and manage to be wonderfully listenable while at the same time interesting and quirky.

I fell in love with this CD. I'm not really a contemporary Christian listener, but this CD has a lot of meaning and depth behind the lyrics to every song that Erin sings. Everytime I listen to this CD I am taken away to a place filled with God's grace and mercy. I am very grateful for such heart felt and easy listening music. The best thing of all, my kids love and are learning the lyrics to each of the songs. It's a blessing to see my kids sing the songs and understand the love for Christ.

This album was good, I enjoyed the songs Janie's Garden and No Place So Far, but other than that, it was kind of a snore. Really excellent lyrics, but the music is a little too light rock for me. I mean feel good music has it's place, but this isn't the kind of album that you can just leave it on the CD player to be the soundtrack of your life.
