All-around excellent!, April 6, 2010
No Power Steering is a wonderful album and is worth every penny if you've stumbled across this page - buy it; you won't regret it! Well-produced, great lyrics, rich alt-country sounds and catchy hooks - this cd is almost always in my rotation and has a lot of similarities to Counting Crows/August and Everything After, and it holds up very well. I once saw Laurie's band a couple of times in the Boston area and had always wondered what heppened to them and was a little surprised that there weren't any reviews of this cd yet, so I guess I'm honored to throw out the first boquet!
