I've been a fan of Lonnie's since I first heard "Happenin' All Over Again" over 10 years ago at a club. Since then, this one track has been remixed, rereleased, rerecorded endless times. But the original UK (1990) single and mixes are the finest. And here, on this compilation, is the original UK single version. It's never been released here in the US before. (A remixed single was released in the US in '93) It's an absolute pop masterpiece! And still does not sound dated. Lonnie's collaboration with Stock/Aitken/Waterman was shear pop and dance brilliance! If you can find Lonnie's first album (If I Have To Stand Alone), GET IT! "No Regret" features Lonnie's "greatest hits" plus a few new tracks. "No Regret", "If I Have To Stand Alone" and "Gonna Catch You" should please any pop/dance fan. The downtempo "Beyond Your Wildest Dreams" really shows Lonnie's she's not just a dance diva. This is another piece of art from the Stock/Aitken/Waterman collaboration (as was "If I Have To Stand Alone"). The hard to find "A God That Can Dance" is a wonderful dance track that begs you to sing along! "Do You Want It" and "Bad Mood" are pure house and won't disappoint! All in all, this CD is HIGLY recommended! it's a shame our Miss Lonnie hasn't had more success here in the US.

There are two very strong tracks on No Regret. Those are Happenin' All Over Again and Gonna Catch You! Could easily be a club anthem for years to come. They should put you out on the dance floor. Other luke warm songs include: Do You Want It, Dirty Love, A God That Can Dance and Edge of 17. The other 8 tracks I didn't care for but I feel if you like 3-4 songs on an album it's a MUST HAVE:-)

though lonnie gordon has suffered relative obscurity since her 1993 release _bad mood_--which produced the dance anthems "bad mood", "gonna catch you" and "happening all over again"--she returns with this greatest hits collection that does not disappoint. five songs from _bad mood_ are paired with other gordon classics and some more recent tracks. most notable among them are "a god that can dance", which gordon premiered at the sydney, australia mardi gras, and a disco rework of stevie nick's "edge of 17". this collection shows that gordon has no reason to have any regrets as she is an accomplished vocalist who consistently produces quality work.
